Application returned But unclear why

Hello, i applied for pr. last month Nov. 29th. This morning we received an email about it being returned with two things incomplete. the first one is form imm 0008 (this is the one im confused about.) the second one is for my background clearance. (i submitted police background check not fbi i've taken care of that already). anyway. i need help figuring out what is actually wrong with my imm0008 form. any takers?

The principal applicant must complete this form for themselves and dependents. If you require additional space to list dependents, please use the IMM0008DEP (version 06-2020 or later) form. You must submit the most recent version of this form and it must be properly signed

i did submit it. and i do have dependents. however they will not be coming and i have written a letter explaining that and why i can't get any of their personal info. (long story with ex) do i need to do for them even though i wrote a detailed letter. and i wont be able to fill it all in.

well, you should at least add them as dependent with their name & birthday, you should know that right?
just write N/A for any other information that you can't obtain

i figured. so then i went to try. and it wont let me add dependents on the profile page. the "add dependents" is grayed out and unclickable.

you mean you went to try after application was returned?
i don't have any experience on that but if it's grayed out i suggest to submit with PDF version
