Are they going to return your passport using the US first class mail as well? I don't think it is safe for a passport.

WINBC is right. they only use US 1ST class mail. they are not responsible for the lost.

our application is now in 14 months,my husband who happens to be in canada went to someone who could help him get info regarding our application.. he then sent an email to OTTpilot-immigration, fortunately after 2 days he got a reply..

our ecas shows application received and medical results received.. upon receiving reply from the ottpilot-immigration, does it mean something good? the ecas doesn't show "IN-PROCESS" note but it was confirmed by the replied email.. i hope we can hear something good soon... Smiley

we looks like same boat. I am in 14 months processing and my ecase shows medical received. I emailed to ottawa and got almost same reply like you. I contacted with the call center but they doesn't have excess to my file. they suggested to keep contact to ottawa.

don't know how long it will take to get PPR? hoping to get with in 15 months time which is end of Sept, 2012.

I wonder when will we start hearing from Ottawa? Most of the files got transferred in July, so Sept-Oct is a good timeframe to hear somethign from them I think. Did you try getting GCMS Notes?

tnx for hearing from you...
the processing is so unpredictable.. some of our friends were already PR knowing that our application have been submitted way earlier than them...
some just got their medical done early dis year and fortunately they are already landed and got their PR...
what i mean to say is.. we cannot really predict when we'll receive ours.. but i'm so thankful for having part of this forum at least i can compare
mine to others.. and eventually all got their luck soon..

One of mine of frnds got his PPR on 14th August from Ottawa. He applied almost 2 months before than me. So, Ottawa is working now I guess and its our turns.

Sharuu, I ordered GCMS but haven't received yet. hopefully end of this month. that will give me another clear picture of my application status. One of mine of frnds got his PPR on 14th August from Ottawa. He applied almost 2 months before than me. So, Ottawa is working now I guess and its our turns.

When did his file go to ottawa? GCMS takes 1 month to receive

Nope he did not apply for GCMS note and neither got reply from ottawa when file transfer from BUffalo. So, no idea!!

I think its taking 3 months since your file got transferred, some of the people who got PPR in August got files transferred in May. 2012 applicants are in a better position than 2011 applicants as they never got transferred? Its nearly been 2 months since my file got transferred also!

it took 20 days for them to send your passport back...
