Hi Sharu,

Did you apply for GCMS notes? If so, how long did it take for you to get the report?

Also, I recently applied for a WP extension, and gave them my new address. This new address is appearing in my ECas now. Not sure, if the address applies to my PR application as well.

Do you see your address after you click "Application Received" link on ECas or is it in the very beginning?

Thanks

I have applied for my GCMS and it takes 30 days to get it. Its good they have your new updated address on ECAS and GCMS Notes should verify this. My ECAS says IN Process from the past 1 month and it used to say App Received before that!

@haybu12,

Today I got my rejection of the renewal of work permits. :o

After waiting over 6 weeks, a rejection.
Two reasons.
No job offer and no LMO I had applied for my renewal online.

At the end of the online application, they would have the required documents.
They did not want a job offer and no LMO.
They wanted Fee Receipt, Copy of Passport and Proof of Medical Exam

So and now everything again from zero.
And then maybe I have to pay the fee again ;D

I think that does not look so good for you.
With you, everything starts from zero

No other option.

You need a new employer.
Or you must / can apply directly through the federal progam for a PR

Sorry for you

Hi WNIBC,
How can i apply federal PR using my current PR application? i was almost on last step.
can a lawyer/attorney help me in this? Please guide.
Thanks,

@WNIBC,

Awww, I'm sorry to hear that :(

Do they still need LMO to get your work permit renewal though you applied for PR already?

When you get together the necessary score.
In order to apply through the federal program, the PR you need to have a score.
I think there are now 65 points
Then you apply yourself the PR without an employer or a Job Offer
.

using my current PR application?
This will not be possible.
If I am right with you understand that your application was not processed further.
Because you do not have a job offer.
And the prospective ( old ) employer want not give you a new job offer.
That means you need a new employer.
New Job Offer and LMO
And then you come whis a work permit to Canada
..

i was almost on last step.
That's life, sometimes very unfair

can a lawyer/attorney help me in this? Please guide.
Of course a lawyer can help.
What does that mean help?
It represents a new application and that's it.
For this you pay a lot of money.
Normally, you can do everything alone.
So you can save a lot of money.

Thanks,

That they've written.
These were the two reasons, why they have rejected my application.
I had no LMO or a new job offer. I have all the documents.

But with the online application, they would not have these documents.

I'm a nominee of the BC PNP There you do not apply for LMO.
You will receive a letter of support LMO BC PNP

I'll try again tomorrow to call the hotline.
And if not, I'll go to the border on Sunday and apply for WP.
I wanted to avoid me.
These are again 2 hour drive to the border, where they make immigration stuff.
But what should I do..... ::)

Yes, I think you better phone them...
They probably need a new LMO for 2 reasons:

1. If you intend to work for a new employer, then they might require you to obtain LMO
2. If you renewed your work permit in the past using the PNP acceptance letter, then they could not probably give you another one for the second time. I just read it on immigration website but it's just referring to BC business PNP but it might apply to BC PNP Skilled worker as well:

Here's what I found:

BC Business PNP
...CIC post informing it of the applicant being “nominated” and being eligible for a work visa. The work visa is for a two year period. At the end of the two year period the applicant must have performed the business requirements it agreed to in the performance agreement it signed with BC PNP. Compliance with the agreed upon terms of the performance agreement is required to obtain final approval. At the end of the two year period the work visa cannot be renewed.

But just to make sure, the best thing you have to do is call them and they will give you further explanation and reasons why your WP was rejected.
Hope for the best

Today I got the letter.
As they have posted the reasons why they have rejected the request.
I know the reasons.

The funny thing is in the online application, they did not have the documents
So I have not sent with this online application
I have the LMO and the Job Offer.
I have all the necessary documents.
This is not the problem.

I think the officer has not taken any proper time.
Otherwise he could have asked for the missing documents.
That was too much work and thinking for the officer

The online application has asked for the reason.
Why do I need an extension.
So I have written, I have applied for PR.
But the request is not approved untill now.
Therefore I need an extension of the WP

I will then go on Sunday to the border.
I think that's the fastest way.
I just hope I do not have to pay the fee again. ;D

Hi everyone,

I am an April 2001 applicant.

My WP will be expired soon. Is that possible applying extend WP without provincial supporting letter or it has to be with the letter? I am working for the same employer.

Thanks in Advance

This sucks man, the same Fing thing happened to me, applied onlie couldn't attach documents they refused stating no documents, I called they told me I have to pay again, applied again by mail with documents got approved. this is how they make their money by scamming us with their quicker online faulty application procedure, so they can double the money they take form us, then they tax us the same as others but we don't get benefits.
the worst is their manual says that in case of missing docs the officer shouls ask before refusal, but they never do. this is how they make their money, by taking the food from the mouths of our children.

@rsysha,

Which is the Work Permint Support Letter is regulated in BC so far as I know.
You get this letter if you are applying the PR through the PNP from BC.
I can not say in which provinces that is just as regulated as in BC.

It was written in the Letter of Acceptance...

" The letter from the BC PNP will facilitate the issuance of your Work Permit. You do
not need to apply to Human Resources and Skills Development Canada ( HRSDC )
for a LMO..."

Thanks WNIBC, I applied through MPNP(Manitoba). The MPNP asks my employer to fill out "Employment Standar" Form which my employer has concerned to become a recruiter.
