Application Received March/April/May 2011 Waiting For PPR

Hello guys, I am not new here, I come here every day. I forgot my password, so I open this one.

I am in the process of renewing my work permit online, but there is a question ask me if I already took the Immigration Medical Examination, and if yes, do I have receipt. Because I answered yes to both questions, I need to upload my medical receipts at the end. Have you guys been asked these questions and uploaded your receipts? It is weird, because I have never heard anyone need to upload medical exam receipts, I am worry that I answered some questions wrong and will get rejected. I read from some thread that couple people got rejected so they drive to broader to renew it again, I do not have a car and not close to broder at all, so I really don't know what should I do if get rejected.

Please please help me out, thank you guys in advance!

As has been written extensively on the topic of online extension of the WP.

There's a rotten trick
If you answer yes. At the end of the online application, you can then not attach a new job offer and you can not attach the LMO.
What then has the consequence that the extension is denied.
When asked whether you are applying for the PR, just answer NO.


I made ​​the f#+°#+ mistake.
How was I to know that I get a rejection?
My answer wars yes.
And I've been waiting six weeks to the extension.
And then I got the rejection.
Now I have to apply for WP again and I have to pay the fee again.

And yes I have the bills from the Medical Ex scanned.
I have two accounts on one sheet and then attached as a pdf at the end of the online application.

Again, read the last two pages.
And then not answer YES.

I really really appreciate the last 2 pages you and Shinji30 wrote, that's so so so helpful! I totally understand your feeling, that's double waste! (time+money). So I post another topic, so everyone renewed and renewing work permit online can post questions and answer questions there, really don't want anyone waste time and money!

I didn't get a question as are you applying for the PR, they ask me "Have you been approved in principle for permanent residence from within Canada?" instead, I guess I should answer no? if I answer yes, they won't ask for PNP and job offer.

But, they didn't ask for work permit, did you asked for the work permit? And, the PNP letter is the nomination certificate we got before we submitted documents to buffalo? do we need to get a new one?

Did you contact them to ask how should you renew again? online or mail? Is there have time limit like by which date, they have to receive your application?

To be honest, I am not sure about some questions' answer I have typed, if we submit correct document, but answer some questions wrong, is that a problem?

I submitted the online application for work permit extension on May 13th ( I am currently on post grad work permit). I can share my experience here. Althought I can't remember how I answered the question, but at the end, it requested the following from me:

1.Marriage Certificate (I uploaded our Alberta Marriage Certificate )
2.HRSDC or PNP Letter ( I uploaded my PNP letter. I made few copies of it before submitted the original one along with the application forms to Buffalo )
3.Job Offer Letter ( I have been working with the same employer for 2 and half year. My manager provided me a letter with the company letter head, including my job detail , job requirement ,wage...etc. with his signature at the bottom)
4.Copy of Passport ( Here, i uploaded the pages with my name, pic, passport date, entries stamp and the most important one, my post grad work permit. I hold 2 passports, so, I did it for both )
5. Proof of Medical Exam ( I uploaded our blood , urine , Xray and body check receipts)

My husband :
1.Copy of Passport ( He uploaded the pages with his name, pic, passport date, entries stamp and his work permit)

Not sure if I did it right, but I think these are what they asked for.

This is precisely the question.
For this question you should answer NO.
If you answered 'yes' then they do not want to see the Job Offer.
And not even the LMO or WP Support Letter.
And then you get a rejection
The reason is because these documents are missing.

I do not demand, there was another board member had called.
And it was recommended that the answer to this question in the negative.
It was s too late, he had also received a rejection.

No, I'm going to apply for my extension directly to the U.S. border.
I am lucky that I live only 45 minutes away from the border.
So I'll make it there personally.
Actually, I wanted to do at the weekend.
Was in the U.S. and on the way back, I asked for the extension.
I had a job with Offer. And I was with the WP Support Letter.
Unfortunately I could not make the extension.
The officials there on the border, said the job offer must have a start date and anticipated end date.
Frankly, I've never heard anything.
Okay, I was now in our office, and now I get a new Job Offer whis a start date and an estimated end date.

Of course, then some questions are answered incorrectly.
But as it is what it is. ;D
I have two questions answered whis NO.
Although they would have to be answered whis YES.
But that was too complicated.

For the work permit question, I did exactly what you wrote, but they didn't ask me to upload the work permit separately like other documents, how about you? The only place I can attach my work permit I guess is with passport pages?

You said there is another board member asked CIC, and he received a rejection after got the first rejection? two rejection?

Job offer need a start date and anticipate end date? How to make end date for permanent job? I don't understand why they ask for end date.

It has a half year time frame.

2. Your employer provided you a new job offer? can I use the old one?
I used the one that submitted along with the AINP application (the one to Edmonton, not Buffalo), but I updated the date and the wage.

The didn’t have a separate field for work permit. However, when I filled out the form, at the very last step---check list, the listed all the documents they wanted. And right besides each field, there was a question mark. If you click it, a table pops up at the bottom of the page which shows you what they need.

For instance, passport, they asked for the pages of the picture, issue date, name, and entries stamp. Besides that, they also want to see the Temporary Residential Visa. I think it means work permit. So I scanned all the pages and my work permit, then merge them into a single pdf file.

Regarding the passport, I am a Hong Kong citizen. I hold a BNO (issued by the british gov’t before 1997) and a HKSAR passport (Issued by the Hong Kong gov’t after 1997).

HI WNIBC,

Im still waiting for PPR and my Work permit expires in october 2012. I was about to send my Work permit extension application but found that work permit can only be given up to the expiry date of the passport.In my case the expiry of passport is March 2013..
I want to know whether i should apply for a new passport right now then apply for work permit and later update CIC with my new passport info for the PR application
OR
should i just continue with the old passport and get a work permit till march 2013 and later before March 2013 renew my work permit once again( if needed).Will CIC issue me a work permit for 6 months till march 2013?

Furthermore, what documents needs to be filled and sent again besides copies of passport when passport gets renewed?
