Hi to all,

I know its not the right forum to ask this but many of you people know this information.

I just want to know what is total processing time it takes to get US VISIT visa for a person living in Canada (not a Canadian citizen). how soon can we have interview and after that how much processing time is required.

thanks

U can apply for the visa in person and if they keep the passport, that means they return it within a week or so. For scheduling an interview, please go their consulate website and check the available dates.

waiting....may 11 applicant :-[

'Upon receiving transferred case, satellite offices have the "bring forward date" of 28 days. They will process your file within that time frame, send you ppr if everything is fine or request additional doc if needed.' This is what I read somewhere and my rep. confirmed the same info.

It usually takes anywhr between a month to two to get an appointment for interview for visa . You can go to nvars.com to schedule an interview and personally I feel Toronto is the best bet as I got refused in Calgary buh got 10 years visa in toronto after a month of first rejection.

Calgary is so difficult...Vancouver and Toronto are the best.

So how come some people have to wait for a few months without any word from Seattle for instance?

Fair enough. I guess it kind of makes sense actually. Sask got transferred on Mar 1st.....apparently it takes Seattle 3 weeks to get around to opening new files because of the backlog......then with the bring forward date being about 4 weeks after that, it would be pretty close to April 25th which is when he got his ppr.

I hate getting into these guessing games though so I'm not going to indulge that theory of mine :).
