It is very confusing:

According to CIC: New Delhi takes 1 month and Chandigarh takes 4 months. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp/workers.asp

VFS states one month no matter which VISA office it went to.

@ Saini84, My spouse applied for OWP from Chandigarh on Dec 20.
Any one has an update how long it takes at chandigarh office for processing visa...

Ravi,

Any update regarding your spouse visa (WP) from CHandigarh?

We are almost in same timeline ......you applied before Christmas holidays and my wife applied just after that.

I am hoping that it should not take another month.

Cool!

You can call them next week so see the status. CIC website says that the TRV (permits) should not take more than 40 days to process outside Canada.

VFS site says one month........and if your application exceeds a month, you can call them up. If you are going to do this, please let me know the result.

I will wait for next week then in Feb 1st week I will call them if my wife doesn't gets visa.

Gud luck!

Hi guys,

I wish to apply open work permit for my spouse in India. I am currently in Canada, a skilled worker and ontario nominated principal applicant.

Can any one help me with the list of documents that need to be submitted and if you have any idea about ND office timelines, that would help.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

She has to apply on her own.

Here is the list of documents. Go to workers section and download them:

http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/visaapplication.html

In addition to this, your documents are required:
1) Offer Letter.
2) Bank Statement
3) Pay Slips for last two months.
4) Marriage Certificate

For NDVO timelins, you can follow the tracker:

Good Luck!

Hi Guys,

I applied on 24th Dec, 12 and till now didn't hear from CHC.
When i called VFS, they told me that they don't know much about application and asked me to directly contact CHC.
But CHC is having only email and fax communication and they won't reply our emails. Is there any other way to contact CHC, please let me know.
