My wife will call them when there is a need. If no reply comes by end of next week, we have to call them up.

I believe, these numbers are meant for inquiry and they must respond. We should just refrain of contacting them if our application is still within time frame of processing.

In addition to this, your documents are required:
1) Offer Letter.
2) Bank Statement
3) Pay Slips for last two months.
4) Marriage Certificate

what documents he would attach with sowp applicatio ?i really need help and one more thing he got one time refusal of trv in january...so for how he should wait after one refusal to apply for sowp

your spouse can apply now. But this time, he should make sure that he provides enough evidence regarding strong ties with India. The visa officer should be convinced that you will return back after completion of your studies.

Check the additional requirements of your Visa Office:
For India: http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/visaapplication.html

Your spouse have to submit the copy of your Study permit.
Your current residential proof.

He has to show enough funds (I do not know how much). This is because, you are not earning and the visa officer should be convinced that the money is enough to support both of you.
For strong ties with India, you can mention family ties and add some property documentation.

Applied on Sep 25 , 2012
First response for medicals -- Nov first week
Medicals reciepts and passport received by New Delhi CHC on Nov 8 ,2012

VISA awaited till date ....

If anyone has applied after these dates and got this type of visa please post a reply.

Your spouse can file OWP of you are on Student Permit and currently pursuing studies. He will not require any job offer letter.

Along with the WP application, there is an application for VISA too. That has to be submitted with the complete package.

I believe, around CAD 6000/- will be sufficient, since, you already are on job. It should show that you can accommodate your partner.
