Application cancelled due to missed diploma

Hello everyone,

I have just found this forum and think it is amazing and very resourceful. Therefore I would like to share with you my recent experience (maybe this topic has been opened already - there are so many here).

My express entry application is falling under the Canadian Experience Class - skill type A. I am currently working on a work permit. The initial set of points I got after applying into Express entry is 457 and I got lucky to be selected in the draw on March 27th, 2015 (453 points level). The level of education in my case is a Master's diploma from an university in Czech republic. I have done the assessment with WES and it was acknowledged as equal to the Canadian Master's degree. While uploading my documents into my Permanent Residency application I have uploaded only the final result received from WES, not the full diploma itself, because I believed that since they ask for my file number with WES and CIC is also accrediting WES to do the assessments they have access to their records. My Permanent Residency got cancelled exactly 60 days after I got invited to apply. This is the official reasoning:

Thank you for your interest in Canada.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has assessed your application for permanent residence. We have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of a complete application as described in sections 10 and 12.01 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. Your application is rejected for being incomplete.

Specifically, your application does not include the following elements:
- Proof of education

The education attachment did not include your University Education documents; it contained only your Education Credential Assessment.

Note: A full review of your application was not performed. There may be other elements, not identified above, which may also be missing or incomplete.

This left me devastated. Because I have all files translated and on file, ready to provide in case needed. But they have cancelled me right away. Even without asking to provide additional documents.

I have already started the process again and am waiting for the next draw.

Let's hear if anyone else has a similar experience or has any thoughts on my case.

If you read the forum, lots of people are in your situation! The general idea seems to be 1) re-create your profile NOW, so that if there is a draw tonight, you are ready to enter again; and 2) submit a case-specific enquiry asking CIC to reopen your case, and providing the diploma.

BTW, you are lucky they gave you credit for a Master's - my partner's Mgr. from Comenius University in Bratislava was evaluated as a Canadian Bachelor's degree!
