Hi,

I am at 455. Any guess when will we be picked up by the system?

Its almost like a bizarre game waiting for day n night to get a status in this country after working so hard, spending 10 years of life here, giving this government bags full of money for tuition, paying taxes on everything and contributing to the society, and still we are not fit for the society (as per they say). This is such a shame for us guys. We people are treated so badly at this moment that they consider people with a piece of document (LMIA) more worthy than us!! I am perfect on my IELTS score, have 2 post-secondary education credentials from Canada, good experience in Canada.

Guys, this system has utterly frustrated so many lives. I see everyday so many of us leaving the country just because we are not being given justice here. These people are playing with our emotions, life, future and our families. They make no sense by coming up with this retarded system and given we people no preference.

Is there anything we could do guys? I question you all so that we can help ourselves, each other and future friends.

Thanks and Best of Luck.

Hello dda,

Nobody really knows how CIC manages their draws. There have been two draws below your current score and I was lucky enough to be picked up in one of those (my score was 454). From your message I get that you are applying under the CEC program? I am a FSW with zero canadian experience and yet got selected. I agree with you when you say that you should have preference over somebody that has never worked there but there are also other factors they take into consideration: age, marital status, education, experience, etc...

I am not sure how you claimed your points but I am very surprise to see that your scores are only 455 with all the accomplishments you have!

I believe CIC draws will come down again soon and you will receive your ITA. I wish you the best of lucks!

Thanks for your reply Kucuy.

I have 455 currently. I am working as an Engineer in Canada (for almost 2 years now) in a big company and have 8 band in my IELTS. My age is 27 and have 2 post secondary credentials from Canada itself. I came to Canada right after my high school. I am still single and have no family or spouse to afford. On my express entry profile, it says FSW & CEC conditions met.

Federal Skilled Worker Met Help
Provincial Nominee Program Not Met Help
Canadian Experience Class Met Help
Federal Skilled Trades Not Met Help
Overall Score 455 Help

I havent been able to secure even the OOPNP yet. I dont know if there is something I am lacking in or there is something I am missing.

Thanks.

Wow, you and I both have almost the exact same profile. The only difference is that I am applying with a spouse and I did not claim any points for his IELTS or credentials so my maximum attainable points are 560 instead of 600. I am an engineer too but do have a master's degree from a US institution. If you had a masters I guess you should have my exact same score +40 since you are applying without a spouse.

Maybe that's the difference? I am not sure!

how is this possible??? you should have higher score than this!
I have 455 also, but I am 5 years older than you are ( -25 points) and have no canadian experiance ( that is a whole lot point less ).

your score is odd

I wonder why would you say that, "that my points are less than what they should be".

I have calculated time and again. What would it be instead?

Profile:
Age: 26
Single
1 Year Canadian CEC experience (engineer)
2 - Post Secondary credentials from Canada (both more than 3 years each)
IELTS: R=7.5, W=7, L=8, S=8.5.
No LMIA, No PNP, No Skilled labor certification.

Let me know if I am making a mistake somewhere and my points could be higher than 455 (my current score).

Thanks.

When you say "post secondary credentials" you mean two Bachelors Degrees, a Bachelor and a masters or something else? What is you NOC? How many points were you granted for education?

I have 4+ years of experience in my NOC. Based on what you say I think you are falling short on your score either because you only have one year of experience or because your academic credentials are not a full degree? Remember you get more points in education if you have a masters or a PhD that only holding a BS degree... with that in mind, I think your points may be accurate after all. Which still don't justify the fact that people with Canadian experience should probably be granted points for that only. I think your application is being processed as a FSW though.

Hi All,

I'm submitting my second EE profile and my overalls core is 453. I dont know if I'll qualify for next draw of CIC or not. But keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Sitting at 451, i don't understand how to get more scoring points. :'(

Anyways, got OOPNP invite but i did not file for it, too much headache.

Will be waiting for score to get me inside the system, hope it comes soon.

If anyone has a way to increase may be 20 points, do pass on to me. :P

Kucuy15,
I have 4 years BS Engineering degree from Canada and a 2 year Post Secondary Diploma for Canada as well. I have 1 year Canadian Experience and will finish 2 years in December, 2015. As I mentioned my IELTS score above, the profile prompts me as qualified for CEC and FSW both. Ideally speaking, my kind of candidate when earlier used to be applicable for CEC stream. Now they all (CEC & FSW) are sailing in the same boat. Also, my NOC is 2141.

Thanks.

I'm also still in the boat - sat waiting on 461. Tough couple of last draws!

460+ has a very high chance this year.

ok. when you entered educational credentials into your EE profile, did you on any of those choose the: Two or more post secondary credentials ?

you should choose this option, as for some reason the EE profile doesn't calculate this on its own.

I have two post secondary credentials as well. When I enter them as Bachelors and second one as 2 year Diploma or degree., my points are not calculated correctly. You have to input (on eather of those) option: Two or more post secondary credentials.

I am just surprised to see that someone in canada with skilled work experiance, and single and yunger then me can have the same score.
I don't know I might be missing something.. I have the highest score on IELTS and more than 8 years of skilled work experiance outside of canada. I don't know if this can be the reason ...

I see your IELTS score also can be higher., perhaps this could get you some more points.

what ever the case might be., they drew 453 before, so I am hoping there is hope for us around that CRS range
