do not agree with you...i myself am researching this express entry since last 9 months.This is just false hope.

I myself am within 35 with B.Tech degree and 8+ IELTS.....can u tell me how many people out of 100 get 9+IELTS may be 0.25 per 100 people....so impossible.

I am sure even ur points might be coming from either canada experience or job there.

Do not give false hope..as we all know the reality...no hope below 450,at least not for people below 400 in any case
I'm 29yo with masters degree and 8 years of experience in my field. My wife has masters degree, and with IELTS L8/R7/S7/W7 (that's CLB9 for all abilities) we get 452 points. If my wife will take IELTS (let's assume that she gets 6/6/6/6) score is 464. See? It's not difficult at all.

Similar to anarsoul: I'm 28, master's degree, only 2.5 years' work experience, IELTS CLB9. My spouse has bachelor's degree, and he is CLB 9 too. We stand at 451, no Canadian experience contributing points to our CRS.

It doesnt mean there is no hope at all if you are standing at < 450 or even 400! I suggest that people should study province nomination programs to add the extra 600 points. Most of PNPs do not even charge any application fee and they require you to send photocopies of documents/ upload online. It doesnt hurt at all just studying and finding out whether you are qualified to apply. Caps for PNP are small, and you need to act fast -- Yes it could prove to be difficult, but complaining about this system won't change anything. And waiting in the pool is very passive. I know some applicants who really did their work and strived for such opportunities. And now they are nominated successfully.

I do not think they resume old system, the Canadian government spent millions on the new system and this system good or bed but works. The system will be adapted to new frontiers based on the former experience. I think if they want to have skilled immigrants they should put more emphasis on a work experience and education. Currently we have emphasis on the language and on the local experience which is not mean that a skilled one applicant was chosen. By this score range CIC lost immigrants with big international experience and good education. CIS prefer young specialists with good command of English or French.

Not impossible, but very difficult.

yes...they want young people with masters degree...else you cant reach 430 points.
They want young people with good education (masters or two diplomas, at least one was issued on completion of 3+ years long program) and excellent English.

The only difficulty I see here is "young", but it's OK if you're under 35, you can compensate missing 25 points with excellent English and/or French proficiency (oui, français n'est pas si difficile comme vous pouvez penser). If you have only a bachelor diploma - spend half a year and get another one. Key point here is CLB9+ on all language abilities (for IELTS it's L8/R7/S7/W7) - they give 25 additional points for education and 25 additional points for foreign work experience if you have CLB9+.

There is no min score for EE. So your score holds good but it is just that you have to wait for few more months/years to get selected otherwise just tryto increase score :)

Wait for elections to complete and hopefully there would be more applications selected

That's not entirely true. I have 441 points but with Bachelor's only. Don't have Canadian experience, no wife, 5 years experience in 2171, 25 y/o. I guess it's my IELTS which is CLB 10 (Yes, there's a CLB level 10) -> S:7.5/W:7.5/R:9/L:8.5.
