As you can see in my timeline, I sent on 28th of July through UPS and received 9th of August also by UPS.

I applied guys for a study permit at June 17 and still waiting for response from Embassy in Vienna!!!! I was offered a PhD position in Montreal. I wonder if that is normal or if somebody experienced same situation?
I am Egyptian.

Hi guys,

I'm foreign citizen, resident of the Netherlands. Just got a message saying i should mail in my passport, and I want to do it that by directly sending it to the embassy via DHL or FedEx, as per this message from their website: "If you wish to have your passport returned by private courier, you must include with your passport a completed pre-paid return airway bill which ensures collection services."

1. Now i called DHL, they said they can't provide me with a return label.
2. FedEx said they can do that, but warned me my passport may be seized by customs if they see it.

Is this true, did anyone here send already their passports with FedEx? Is this really the case? Thank you.

I do not know for Fedex but I sent and received mine through UPS without any hassle.

Well, normally it should not take that long. Shoot them an email and request some info.

It depends. If you have a job offer then it is shorter for sure, but without job offer it can take up to 1 year. You can check my timeline for orientation.

Did anyone got an AOR or Visa or even refusal... this forum has died ppl... or its just Vienna office that has stopped their work... I guess they've sent their workers home !!!!
