I would try www.cheapoair.ca...any other suggestion?

Beside this one I'm also checking:
flighthub.com
skyscanner.com
cheapflights.com
cheaptickets.com
but prices are, almost, identical.
I tried contacting some travel agencies in my country to compare prices and they are cca 30% higher.
I'll book our tickets next week. I would like to know if anyone had used this type of reservations before? How do they give you your tickets? Is there any chance of fraud? If something goes wrong and you miss your connecting flight, who do you complain to if you use two different transporting companies?

OK, I had to take a few days break.
Last week I went to VO Vienna for visas. In person. From Belgrade to Vienna about six hours in mini-van with 8 other passengers. I arrived there around 6 AM and waited till 8 AM in front of VO to leave my documents. I had to spend some 6-7 hours in the city and it was terrible hot that day.
I got visas and CoPR about 3 PM. I waited for a van another two hours on the very hot sun. Terrible.
The whole process was exhausting but I would do it again. I couldn't wait for a weeks again to receive visas.

Tickets booked for 17.9. Cheers 8)
whoooohooo!!! congrats!

as i mentioned earlier, i bought mine directly through klm... the cheapest i found were through skyscanner as emiiuki mentioned, and condor.com

purchasing tickets online, you get an e-ticket to your email address. i used it many times before, never had problems with it. you print it out, take it with you, and got to the first operator check in stand at the airport, where you check in and get your boarding passes.

We still haven't started looking for tickets, but maybe someone knows if there are direct flights from the surrounding countries, for example Sofia or similar. That might be an option also.

i've just realized, soon, this thread will cease its activities. everyone will purchase their tickets, and probably the new thread will be opened : Vienna applicants -landing and settling experiences! ;) how fun! ;D

Thanks everyone.

I often use flight network for tickets. We are taking Budapest-Toronto line this time. Less than 12 hours flight.

Why Budapest when Belgrade is much, much cheaper?

Congratulations to everyone who have got their VISAs and are planning landing.

I have tickets booked for Vienna this weekend.
I and my wife will start on Sat morning from Frankfurt. Spend a day in Prague.
Then reach Vienna on Sunday afternoon.
Get the VISAs done on Monday and return back to Frankfurt on Tuesday morning.

We have also started searching for jobs and if things go well (hopefully), we should celebrate New Year's eve at Toronto. :)

I was just looking at skyscanner. How come one way tickets are that more expensive than round trips? :o

I think thats the norm. One way tickets cost almost the same as return ones.

They are actually more expensive! I know it always pays off to buy return tickets but I didn't think it would actually be cheaper.

Can't agree. Beside that I was looking for flight that is shorter. 11.40h is hard to beat.
