I received PER on 1st october and I need visa to travel to canada.

CIC websites states this
"Although concerted efforts will be made to solicit payment at the early stages of processing, CIC must accept payment of the RPRF whenever it is submitted. This is a requirement of the Financial Administration Act. CIC also has no authority to refuse to refund the RPRF upon request of a client who has paid up front or at any time before the RPRF is due for visa issuance/permanent residence status. "

Hi All,

I am a FSWP applicant and my current status is still medical received since 3 months >:(

Do you recommend to pay already the RPRF?

i know it can be paid up front, and i know some people did it, and supposedly, it speeds up a process a bit. not in terms that anything will be done faster, but the waiting time will be shortened by few days.
however, three months since medical received and no correspondence afterwards?! i'm dizzy... :-\

I'm happy for everyone who got good news in the last weeks! :D

Can't help to be a little bit jealous of all those fast processing times. I'm waiting since 2013 (16,5 months). Waiting one more month to start spamming the **** out off the Vienna office ;)
Or does anyone have any success stories about sending emails to Vienna before the average processing time is up?
sorry to hear about your timeline...
i know that 2013. applicants were very unfortunate with the timeline, but at the end, everything ended positively for them, even tough they were sick of waiting anymore. i never heard that spamming helped.. but i know it will help you to get your frustration out at least a bit! :)

ok, tnx

Actually, after medicals, waited for a long long time to get the PCC.
However, I sent everything 10-15 days ago and no correspondence after that, sent couple of emails and no reply... :-[

I wonder from Vienna, what are the possible next steps?

About RPRF, it doesnt harm to pay, you have to pay anyway, and save couple of days.

It is cheaper to do bank transfer in euros as can be seen here (based on current exchange rate--if paid by credit card)
cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/result.asp?countrySelect=DE&lob=rprf
Any idea on this?

Not really sure :( I plan to pay my RPRF online once they request it.

Thanx everyone!
I just called to make an appointment and, the first available date in Belgrade is 27.04.....
135 EUR for adults and 75 for children.

ITZ, we are still far far away from looking for tickets, but do you have an idea of what would be some average price?

It depends on which period of the year you intend to travel.
In my case for the end of June or beginning of July it would be around 690 euros

@ITZ: Did you receive the RPRF and PPR in one email(or by snail mail)? How long did they take to make the decision after medicals?

Yes, in one email and it took 9 days after medicals were received or 20 days after medicals were done.
