but it's really depressing for us newbies to read that.. if it'll take that long for me too, everything will expire, PCC, ielts..

What is PCC ?

movado, if your file is 19 months, your PCC is valid for 12months, anyway its important you dont have to send again.

luna, ielts has to be valid on the day when your file is received, no need to worry about that.

What is PCC ?

they're usually valid for one year, and CIC usually requires for them not to be older than 3 months at the time you're sending application to CIO.. ours are fresh, but hell, if we're gonna wait 12+ for MR only, they'll expire... so, more money, more delays... also, I took my ielts in March 2014, so it'll expire too (it's valid for 2 years)... it's not like it costs 5 bucks, and that makes me mad, I'll have more money expenses just because of their slow processing times

edit: can man so, you're sure, it's only important for pcc and ielts that they're valid before AOR??? you sure??? I thought it has to be valid all the way 'till we gt PR

did they ask you MR/RPRF only or anything else updated as PCC or Schedule A form.

Just medical request. I hv updated my application in october.
I haven't been outside Canada in last 2 years (that could be the reason that they didn't ask for PCC).

It looks like the bunch of cases were found by Austrian CIC while cleaning out the shelves - I got the Med Exam Request today as well.
Was awaiting since April 2013 - PNP stream.
