I think that your lawyers are right. I read somewhere that once you chose a representative, all the correspondence should go through your representative. Did you sent your PCC through snail mail or used courier (DHL,UPS..). How do you know that your package is lost in transit?

I used snail mail and there was no real rush. But I asked for a tracking number. The tracking number says that it left Germany on 5 September but has no further information. The reason I am concerned is that I mailed our medical receipt 5 days after the PCCs and the receipt arrived at the lawyers on Monday.

It's a bit stressful as we leave for a 10 day vacation next Saturday so it will be very tight in terms of the deadline if we have to get new PCCs, translate them and get them to Canada and back.

Argh.

Anyway - thanks for your input!

It took me more than 2 weeks to CIO from Germany with normal post service, even 9 days with DHL services. Dont worry about this.

I hope.
Does the status about received medicals mean that we passed the medical exam, or that they have just received it?
Also, are security checks about to start now (after medicals have been completed), or have they started already and are in progress?

As far as I understand - 3rd line means results all ok - if they weren't you would instead be contacted by letter. Security screening should start now but it's unclear whether they are in fact doing this beforehand as a few people have got RFPRF and PPR very shortly after third line (yoda within 2 weeks) and the longest I think there has been in recent times with forumites is 6-7 weeks so v hopefully the end is in sight? (But my lawyer's position is that 3-6 months after medical results received is not uncommon for ppr). Good luck!
