Hello All

I have been accepted in a three year child and youth care worker program. and i also have admission in a year youth care worker program.

I want to apply on basis of the three yr program.

1- How much money i need to show. (will i have to show amount for the complete course) ?

2 After getting visa if i choose to do the 1 yr course instead of the 3 yr. what will happen? will it be illegal to stay there after that... though i will be eligible of a PGWP for atleast a yr.

please comment.

Thank you.

Answer to Q1 : You will need to Show 1 year living Cost + 1 Year Tuition Fee. That would Be Super Awesome if you Show 1 Year Expenses which is 12000 $ + 2 Years Fees.

Answer to Q2 : Yes that would be totally Legal If you Do 1 year Course Program, You are Legal Until your Visa Expires. Also you Can Apply For Post Graduate Work Permit and Work There in the Remaining Time of your Visa.

And after some time of work on oyur post grad work permit you can get a Permanent residency Card aswell....like in Manitoba u get PR after 6 months of work on PGWP....varies for different provinces :)

Thank you for your reply.

NO Just Show your Own, Brother's Account won't Help you Much.

Hello

thank you for your replies.

i am being asked to submit 1 yr fees as confirmation fees by st. claire college.

I dont have a problem doing that. but i actually intend to do a yr course at SIAST. i will be applying on behalf of three yr course from st claire.

now... my question. Will i be able to get back my money. if i choose not to pursue course at st. claire. will they refund that to me qwithout any question. or they can hold the money.

i dont want to ask them as it may give them an indication i am not serious about studying there.

is there a policy that requires them the fees if the person want to withdraw from the course?

thank you

Bad approach I guess.

If you will continue your studies with 1-year long program then you what you will do after completing of your studies?
You won't be able to do any job because you will have only study permit and your studies will be completed that time so you won't be able to work part time even.

If you will apply for PGWP after completion of your 1-year study program, your remaining 2-year study permit will be waste and you will get just 1-2 year PGWP on the basis of 1-year study program.

This is what you actually want?
Your 3-year long study permit won't help you in any case if you will attend 1-year study program. Neither you can utilize it to work after studies nor it will help in getting 3-year PGWP caz your study program will be of 1-year long.

So what actually your are trying to do?

After completing of your 1-year study plan, you can either start another study program or can apply for PGWP.
I have discussed the PGWP case above and if you go for another 1-year or 2-year study program then you may get long PGWP after completing it i.e 3-year PGWP based on your two 1-year study programs.

So whatever you choose, decide wisely!

I would second the advice. +1 There is no logic in continuing a 1 year study plan against a visa approved for 3 years unless there is another side of the story that we dont seem to know.
