I Just received following email from CIC ISL about status of my application (paper based) file on 24th May and Medical done on 24th June 2013.

Dear Client,

This is in response to your email (see below).

Your application is currently in process and currently, we await medical examination results.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Please note that we will be unable to reply to messages which do not include either the name AND date of birth of the primary applicant or the file number under which your application is being processed.

it is almost 2 months after med. exam they hav'nt received med. results BUT IOM officials said they have already submitted on 26th june to ND India.
My semester starts in sep 9, i have very short time. Any suggestions what should I do now..? should I defer semester?

bro same thing happens to me...i gave medical on 25th July and IOM said they sent my medicals on 30th July...still no response after that...are u university applicant??

You are most welcome.

Trust me, student visas are the fastest processed ones compared to any other type. Fortunately, you have got a lot lesser to wait and far less to plan vs. visit visa or work visa applicants , not to mention the permanent residence applicants - whose time frames are measured in only years.

May be knowing this helps you in controlling the frustration

I think it would be better to get extend your passport..its not a lngthy prcedure they just stamped it for 5 year extension..3 mnths ago i did extend my pasprt from islambad office it took 3/4 days hardly....it can be done in 2 days by paying means i mean pasia lol..best of luck dont be sad it will be fine IA

i mailed them 5 to 6 times but no response from them...they only respond when they want to..
