High Commission of Canada

You better take a look at this official page with valueable information about sending additional documents to be added to your profile.
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/pakistan/visas/update-how_mettre-comment.aspx

If you use Fedex (which is better recommended because they are virtually the VAC's now), you don't need that address. You just tell them it is for canadian embassy and they take care of it themselves.

Fedex is expensive than TCS (PKR 1750 per applicant), but they are far better informed about the process, check docs, and in my personal experience, they have some kind of tracking system which prevents your docs from being in isolation for long.

Thanks a lot for helping me out...! I was worried whether to send it to islamabad or not since i filled online application and i have heard it gets processed outside of pak....

No problem. Primarily, all communication related to a particular visa office takes place at the same destination. All temporary resident cases (work, study, visit) are processed at islamabad. Ofcourse there is internal communication and file processing at CIC head offices in Ottawa. But for clients (us), the interaction is the same.

There are some scenarios in immigration categories (family sponsorship, FSW programs etc.), where applications are processed at the London office.

However, even in that case, the candidates from Pakistan do not do any direct submission to London as far as i know. They always communicate through the Embassy in Islamabad.

"Dear
This is in reference to your application for temporary residence. A decision has been made on your application. We
require your passport to finalize processing your application.
Passport requirements
• Please provide your passport or travel document, with a copy of this letter.
• There must be at least one blank page in your passport.
• Your passport must be valid for the duration of your expected length of stay in Canada.
• Please note that we cannot issue a visa beyond the expiry date on the passport.
Your passport must be received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada within 30 days from the date of this letter. Failure
to do so could result in the refusal of your application. Please ensure that a copy of this letter is included with your
passport"

my passport expires on 18-05-2015 ... i need to renew it , but as u all know in 1 month , its not possible in Pakistan , any suggestions ...?

Congratulations Adil! I think you are the second candidate on the sheet to recieve the passport request. Masha Allah your process was quiet smooth. Wish you the best in your future!

Well ALHUMDULILLAH I m done with my med today....

It was almost the same as Farhan told...but I wan to add one thing for Students going for BACHELORS, as I went iom today I met many people going Canada in different colleges and unis for bachelors...I think they were almost 5 to 6 students going to British Columbia, Toronto etc....

Another thing to notice is that we are very few people in this forum, there are more people applied through consultants and by them selves, so the results in the spread sheet covers very few cases.....

It's the same division called "visa and immigration section".

Immigration usually refers to permanent resident applications.

Non immigrants are student visa applicants, temp workers, visitors.

This is listed right on the first page of website.

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/pakistan/visas/index.aspx?lang=eng

Actually the first time i emailed the embassy, i went to the contact page of islamabad office website and sent the email to the id listed there (isbad @ international.gc.ca). I received the following response.

"We confirm receipt of your e-mail at the Canadian High Commission,
Islamabad. If your email concerns an Immigration or Visa enquiry, kindly
resend your message to the Visa & Immigration mailbox at
Islamabad-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca for the appropriate action."

--+--+--+--+

So i am pretty clear on the terms used. Also these are global titles used by other visa processing offices too for e.g. US.

The intent of the above description is for every one to learn whenever you see the word "Immigration section", it pretty much means it is what you are looking for, in relation to any type of visa whether permanent or temporary.

Hope that helps.
