Yesterday 3 Candidates received their medical call as mentioned in spreadsheet.

All 3 belong to Masters Program and submitted case as Paper based.

I guess all 03 have got medical call in fastest time approx 13 0r 15 days when it comes to paper based submission.

Well done guys you all must be very lucky or your file was filled in comprehensive way.

How long will my application take if I need a medical exam?

After a medical examination with the Designated Medical Practitioner, the results are sent to our medical office to review. The medical office then sends their assessment to our visa section.

For temporary resident (visitor, student, worker) applications, it normally takes 4 weeks after your medical examination before we will contact you regarding the next stage of your application.

For permanent resident applications, it normally takes 3 months after our medical office receives the medical examination results from the Designated Medical Practitioner before we will contact you regarding the next stage of your application. This is true only if you have already complied with our other requests (e.g. to submit other documents).

How can I check on the status of my medical exam results?

If you would like to check when our medical office received your medical examination results, contact your Designated Medical Practitioner to get the tracking number for the delivery. Check the delivery company's website or phone them to confirm the date of the delivery.

For complicated cases or where additional medical information is required, the processing time for your medical assessment will be longer. You will be notified by our medical office if further medical information is required. The length of the delay will depend on the nature of the medical condition being investigated. Your Designated Medical Practitioner can explain further.

This office will not respond to case status enquiries within the processing times above. If you have not heard from us within these processing times, you can submit an enquiry for a case status update. Include:

the name of the Designated Medical Practitioner you visited,
the date of the medical exam,
the tracking number of the package containing your medical examination results (contact your Designated Medical Practitioner for this information),
the date that the delivery company delivered the package (contact the delivery company for this information), and
your application file number.

adil since our results are now no more sent via any courier service, they are uploaded online in the e medical software and CIC can review them after 48 hours of your medical. this online system does speed up the procedure but how to check these results by the uci number online is the question that m asking the answer for.
secondly, didnt you have an emedical when you had yours??????????????

Don't even think of getting your passport renewed now. Submit your passport and you will have visa stamped on it InshAllah.

Considering your program, you will get two year multiple entry visa depending on the date of completion of your program mentioned in your application form.

It is true that you might get visa for a little longer if your passport had more validity. However, in case you are not aware, getting a passport even on urgent basis since Feb/Mar 2013 has been virtually impossible in Pakistan.

There have been rumors of the paper for books not being available (don't know what special paper they use which is imported from a specific country with no alternate). But the point was, there were at least 7 - 10 k pending passports. And i personally know people who applied on urgent basis and till last i heard were waiting for over 2 (some times 3) months.

Unless there is a major update in this situation recently that i am not aware of, you have no chance of getting a new passport in time.

So the simple advice is, get visa on the current one and latter, WELL before your time of expiry, get a renewed passport and then visa. The good part is, the new passports that are being issued now are valid for 10 years.

I got passports on urgent basis for my family (wife and kids) in dec 2012. Back then, i was lucky to get urgent ones in 15 days (Normal passports processing time written at passport offices was 3 months at that time). All of them are valid for 10 years where my own barely lasts until 2016. Still that is the only way to go.
