You did nice job of starting this thread, i helps members like me who are yet to send their full application to CHC, New Delhi.
I wanted to ask couple of things as follows;
1. Can we send application package to CHC, ND via courier? B'coz their address is a P.O. Box one and courier normally don't deliver to P.O. Box address?
2. Is it necessary to send RPRF (fee) along with Full Application or at a later stage upon CHC's request? Will it delay processing if RPRF not sent with Full Application?

I have sent my application through DTDC plus, but please do confirm again... as my consultant has sent it...

It is not necessary to sent the RPRF along with full application. They will ask for RPRF along with Medicals....

I just sent my file to Canada on 18th Nov.
I really dnt know too much about the process .
I know my Catg is 4131 as im a lecturer in a college.
1.Can anybody briskly tell me what will be next ?
2. when I will have reply/file number as told by my consultant ,then is it upto me to make a final file ASAP?
pls reply coz I will prepare all docs in forthhand to submitt my full file in a week only
3.Is it possible coz Im looking at some timelines of members who took 2- 3 months to submit it.

4. Where has my file gone in Canada.

hirentank, 1. You can send it through courier. Don't write PO Box No. Write only Immigration Section. I sent it through Maruti courier and could see online delivery status.
2.RPRF can be sent at a later stage. But it's our expectation that it won't delay the process if sent earlier (if not at all accelerated but at least not delayed)

Did you checked the option to disable the facility of checking the sataus online on the ecas website. If so, you may need to write to CIC to enable the option again...

Hi,

Your initial application is sent to Nova Scotia in Canada and it will take almost 2 months (may be upto 3 months) to receive an "Immigration File number" which they will send through email or by post (rarely)

Until that, be prepared with all those supporting documents : Educational Transcripts, , Experience letters, Reference letters from all employers , PCC (this can be done after receiving the file number as it has only 6 months validity) , Proof of Funds (take the letter from bank 3 or 4 days before sending the full application), IELTS etc.

You can very well send the full application the in 1 week of receiving the file number, provided you are ready with all the documents and funds....

Received Medical Request along with Passport request and RPRF Today 11th Dec-09 letter dated 2nd Dec-09.
Following are my timelines.
.
I had submitted my Documents to CHC New Delhi on 5th Nov-09
Reached CHC New Delhi on 6th Nov-09.
Status changed to Received by Visa office on 13th Nov-09
Status changed to In Process. On 5th Dec-09
Update states that we have started processing your application as on 1st Dec –09.
