Applicants from Sept/oct/nov/dec 2012 waiting for MR ?

Hi ,

I just wanted to start a thread to check if any applicants waiting for MR who applied in 2012. Its the beginning of 2014 and I haven't even heard one thing from CIC and my last GCMS notes said "review required" for cec eligibility...

i am very stressed and thought i would see if anyone in the same boat ? so we can share our anxiety and depression :'(

And today is around 610 days and still waiting.
Applied for notes 2 time in September and never received them.

Soon will be 2 years, now I am laughing. It is very funny, some people get it in 6 months, there are no rules.
You might get it in 1 month or who knows and forget about first come first serve hahahaha.

i am from oct 2012 i got my medicals done exactly after a year. got my BIO DATA, RPRF done as well awaiting for a passport submission request.

Have you followed up with CIC or seen from ECAS that your medical is received? if nothing wrong on your medical, it is strange to wait that long. Also maybe you have travelled a lot that would take time to do your background check! But I did not see any issues, it is just a matter of time!

May be your passport request came to to some folder in email that you don't read...

I know one guy who was waiting 6 months, until he realized that his passport request didn't come to inbox, but to other folder

What's your country of origin?? I am from Pakistan. I think CIC screen applicants based on their nationality.

I got GCMS notes and everything is passed except for security set as blank. I then contacted the local MP and he called and enquired on my behalf and the response was that the security check is currently in progress. It has been 2 months since that I will be contacting the local MP again to call this week.

It is very frustrating having to wait this long, considering everything is set as passed and I did my medicals 7 months ago!

Also, it is very true that applications are categorized based on nationality.

Are you sure that the applications are based on nationality as well? it seems like discrimination based on this?

But as many other seniors suggested, patience is key. you are nearly there, I still have long way ahead.

Btw-are you an auditor? we are in the same NOC. Best luck to your application and hope you will hear soon..

I sent an email to CIC asking for an update on my file since its been 13 months
this is what they replied

Dear Sir/Madam,
In response to your email, your application is currently in queue for review by an officer.
Please note, estimated processing times for Canadian Experience Class applications currently exceed 12 months. No further action is required on your part at this time. You will be contacted should further information be required or regarding the next steps in your file.

should I contact an MP and see whats going on ? or will it not help ? my application was received on December 6,2012
