same here. application recevied nov 26 2012
since then rcmp finger print is the only thing ..
i am really stressed out..
today i got my second GCMS noted but no prograss
still the same
my file was under review required

I'm in the same boat. Sent Oct 2012 and was approved in Dec 2012 to goto Ottawa but since the only contact in July where they said that I didn't include police check, and then after I began to scramble to reacquire they contacted me 2wks later to tell me they overlooked it. Meanwhile I spent another $300 to Fedex overnight the police check and to goto lawyer again. So aggrevating, this process certainly has room for improvements.

I emailed my PM but never heard anything back. I'm thinking to goto there office next.

It almost makes one wonder if they stopped doing cases that were not at a medical point to focus on seeing ones that had medicals done through to completion to keep the 2013 numbers up. The 2mth strike certainly would have impacted that, and it would look bad to have a decrease in permanent residents, not to mention likely someone's year end bonus.

im very nervous too.. i don't mind them taking long time to reply.. Just accept my application and grant me PR thats all I want !!!!

ok....so I have been hearing from cic that my file is pending background checks since summer last year, so I decided to contact CSIS directly (agency which performs background checks) long story short I end up sending them fax in Dec asking why its taking so long and if they would like i can appear for interview to which they respond today that they received the screening request back in June 2013 and they had sent their assessment in Aug 2013 so it looks like that cic misplaced it or overlooked their report as they are still "awaiting results of mandatory background checks";
