No any news from Singapore Visa Office yet. Still waiting for my Medical Request. Waiting waiting and waiting makes me exhausted and frustrated. :-\

I submitted my file in September 2011, the documents checklist has been changed after September 2011. Slightly different compare with the new one. When did you submit your file?

I submitted my ORIGINAL LOA from MPNP & Police Cert. The rest is photocopied set notarized by Commissioner of Oath. I didn't submitted any documents related to my job or education because they didn't request for it.

They will change the rules and forms anytime so keep track of their new changes on their website. Prepare all the necessary documents first, prepare to take IELTS test (If need to submit it together), renew your passport (if possible).

Where are you planning to land in Canada? Manitoba?

Yea...so many changes happening. Thanks for the advise. For now, we are looking at Victoria, BC. What about you? Where you landing? I'm quite confident that they are speeding things up for processing now.Have faith. Major clearing of backlogs. What would be the best way in paying the processing fee? so that we can track if they have cashed in money for processing.

I'll be landing in Manitoba.

Pay the processing fees with bank draft. You can check when they cash out the money with bank.

Are you apply under FSW? Don't worry about the changes. Changes makes the application progress work more faster. Save up and plan well with where you going to land in Canada. Do more research about the housing and job in the province that you select.

Yes under FSW. BC has a more temperate climate compared to other places. We have began doing research on those areas..however still open to options...

Do more research about the housing price, transportation, education system (if you have children), healthcare system....etc.

All the best!

Hi Momo,

From what I hear, and the numerous emails I sent, guess its not their practice to reply emails....or at least seldom.

Hi All,

i have finally got the passport request from the singapore embassy, the complete file was transferred to them from the KL office last June, and the police report was pending so i sent it directly to the singapore office, after three weeks from that they sent me the passport request. So based on this experince i would assume the singapore office is actually faster, good luck to everyone. Few questions to anyone who can help:

1. The right of PR fee is eligible for me and my wife, do i make one bank draft with the total amount or i make two each is $C 490?
2. If i do travel to Singapore to submit the passport, would i be able to collect it back on the same day?
3. If i make the draft using HSBC bank payable to the RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA would that be correct? Because in their email they said:

(Canadian dollar payments must be made in the form of a BANKDRAFT, drawn on a bank in Canada and made payable to the RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA)

4. Any else should i take note of before i travel to Singapore? Based on what i read on the net it seems many people are being returned to correct their drafts and so on, and since i am be traveling, i would like to make sure i have all the basics covered.

Any input is highly appreciated!

Salmi

Last time i email them and get the reply after few hours. I think they reply your email base on how urgent your inquiry is.

Congrats! Is so fast! Which stream are you applying for? FSW? How long have you been wait for your Medical Request? After submitted the Medical test then wait how long for passport request?

You can get your answer here:
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/singapore-singapour/visas/fees-frais.aspx?view=d

Better separate into 2 bank drafts. Easy for you and your wife to keep record.

Pay to RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA.

I'm not sure whether you can get your passport back in the same day. You got to call or email to confirm with them before you fly to Singapore. Some of the applicant in this forum wait for 2 - 4 weeks to get their passport courier back.

Do you mind share your timeline with us?
