CoPR in hand and preparation is under way. Shredded so much old paperwork this weekend at the office, I burned out the shredder motor =P

Feels extremely odd to be in a position of not having to check for updates. Still have a full three months so not quite time to pack everything up but doing bits and pieces to keep busy

lol @ the part where you feel strange not visiting your account anymore. That's really gonna be odd for a lot of people. I don't think I can live without checking for updates anymore. Unless they give me something else to check...

Hanging in there until I get my PPR.

Good luck, and have a great and prosperous life in Canada.

Christ! I just saw how long you've been waiting X__X Fingers and toes crossed for them getting a shift on! What's your Visa office? That's absolutely mental

Once you land, you can link your PR card application (the one they automatically generate for you) to your online account and log in to track that! The fun never ends. :)

I still log in occasionally just to remind myself that things really did get approved and I'm not imagining that I'm a PR now.

It's not the same though. Where's the sense of panic anytime something changes? (or doesn't) =P

Forgive me if you've answered this elsewhere but have you ordered GCMS notes recently? It just seems like a massive failing if they're telling you everything has passed but you're still waiting on PPR. Ottawa seems to have been putting out a few completed applications at a decent rate so this is doubly confusing

Hi RayBear,

Yes I have actually requested the notes 3 times. The last notes I received were not so different from the previous ones, meaning not much change except for the Medical Renewal.

There is something fundamentally wrong with the process. I mean if it's a matter of workload, then there must be some logic to whom get processed and finalized first.

I totally understand that each file has its own circumstances which might delay the decision, but I believe that once everything is passed these files should be brought forward and finalized.

Wish me luck my friend, and I hope we all survive this process with no psychological damage.

Thanks for caring,

I'm honestly baffled that it's all approved and just sitting there. Makes me wonder if they just assign work to an agent and then do not rebalance the load when they become unavailable for some reason.

Hi guys,

I've been a silent reader with AOR 29th November. I got the golden Mail last week 13th June and I'm facing a situation where you ppl can help me I hope.

We are a family of 4. I'm the PA. I send all the documents to the VO in Vienna yesterday. The thing is: we had our holiday already planned in Canada and my spouse is traveling next week to Montreal (we don't need Visa to enter Canada) and I'm supposed to join them later in August just for 10 days. If I received all the needed doc for my landing can I do my soft-landing in august while my dependents are in Canada? If yes, once done, can I take the dependents to an office a day after to complete their landing too? Or what could you advise me to proceed in this case? Thank you very much for your help.

You have to land together or first. I think if you try to land whilst they're in Canada already, its probably going to complicate matters for you.

Thank you for your quick reply.
Do you think I can have the right information by calling CIC? Because the tickets are already bought (without cancellation insurance) and I have no way to have holidays at my job for their period of travel.
Should I send an email to the office in Vienna? To ask for a right way to handle the situation?
