Can I ask a stupid question? How do you know you're in Review required? Is this on your portal page?

I got hold of a helpful agent at the call centre during my second call on 8th Jan who told me over the phone. I've had no unprompted communication from IRCC since my meds were passed on 30th June last year. My portal page has looked exactly the same since then (with the addition of the no-progress bar).

I'm honestly quite fortunate in that my workplace has been told up front that my wife and I will be leaving but effectively don't know when and they're happy for us to not quit until we need to, provided we give them as much notice as possible when we're ready.

Keep us posted on your GCMS! Fingers crossed for you

Hi Everyone,
Part of the December 2018 AOR group with @RayBear. Not living in Europe at the moment but definitely European!
My husband and I are French, living in the UAE at the moment, and leaving the country mid-April. Hopefully the application process will have progressed enough by there. I am wondering if changing residency country will delay the application.... Of course in my dreams early april we get the COPR ;-)

It's certainly possible but hopefully you fly through and it won't be a concern! Probably best to raise a CSE if you have to move before its over though =]

No delay whatsoever, you're only required to inform IRCC of your change of circumstances (address), that will also result in your passports having to be sent to a different LVO for stamping.

Hey, Brit here. Just filing my post-ITA documents, and hopefully will send a complete application in the next week or two. And then I guess we're in the waiting game.

P.S, any Brits here applying under Canadian Experience Class? Just intrigued what the average turnaround time is for an outland application under that programme.

Good luck with the process buddy! I’m under FSW-O so I am absolutely no authority. However, it doesn’t seem to matter what stream or class you are under, some roll through in 4 months, others wait 7 or 8.
The only thing I will recommend is trying to give the info exactly as they ask for it. I have noticed a number of people who have got info that is 95% of what IRCC asked for (eg on employment references) and assumed that the missing 5% was common sense, but have suffered delays as a result.
We had an issue with Proof of Funds as our UK bank (TSB) absolutely refused to give us a letter in the format requested, so we had to upload all sorts of info and a letter of explanationto show our position.
6 1/2 months since AOR soon, and due to receive our GCMS notes end of next week, so hopefully I will be more aware of the reason for the delay.

Sorry to hear of the delay my friend! Reading some of the threads on here, I do wonder why people try to flip-flop with the system; give the information as accurately and throughly as IRCC ask for, and there's not much to be concerned of!

I'm just filling in the last bits and pieces of my profile now; should be submitted in a few days, and then it's off to get my medical and biometrics I suppose.

I hope so!!

I always thought I was a patient person...turns out I'm not! Seriously the wait is killing me. I just want to know either way now, this has been such a long time coming.
Reading some comments has made me even more nervous! hope everyone is doing ok.

In theory yes, absolutely, but sometimes life's not quite that straightforward. As in my case, I explicitly requested the details from my employer as laid down by IRCC and my employer flat out refused to list job duties on the letter as it was against their policy. Who am I to change their policy?

Yes, I applied via CEC. My AOR was 12th August and I received PPR on 6th February, which was 6 days shy of my 6 month date.

Absolutely, I didn't word my original point quite right. It was more directed at those that attempt to cheat the system, rather than those like yourself that have no control over the outcome.

Ah that's interesting to know. Did you expect to have it come through quicker than it did, or have you always been of the mind that it'd be around 6 months?

Hi all. Brit here, just submitted my application after receiving ITA in December. The next 6 (likely more) months are going to be a killer for me. I've already realised that I'm not patient. I did my medical last Tuesday (the day I submitted my application) and was told that they would submit results on Friday. Fast forward to today and I call as they have not confirmed submission. I have high BP (which I know) but they refuse to submit until I get additional BP checks from my GP. I'm pretty sure they cannot insist on this, and I'm willing to do whatever else the Canadian authorities ask, but I just want the medicals submitted so I can get the process in motion. Really frustrated because I'm always going to have high BP but now need to wait another week to get an appointment to confirm I have high BP!! Grr!!!!!!!!!!!
