Did you send them an e-mail inquiring on your status? if so, did they reply?

I had written to Paris about my application, but they never replied. Yesterday, I received an email saying there was a new message in MyCIC. When I checked there was a letter asking me to submit my passport within 30 days. Also my BG never switched to in progress
