Passports can be requested via email/telephone/post but agin it depends on few factors. If you are in Sri Lanka high chances to get a call to submit PP. If you are in abroad most of the time it would be via email. Certain cases it might come through ordinary post too. That's why it always important to keep VO updated about changes to your postal address/email/contact.Dilu13 said:Hi everyone,
Can someone pls tell me how are they going to request for the passports? Is it by calling or mailing? And will they call my personal number or contact the immigration consult?
is there any way a person who has applied through an immigration consult to go the CHCC personally ,and handover the passports when they request for stamping?
Seniors Pls let me know.

Following to Aran's response to your question, If you have a consultant on file most probably he/she might be notified before the applicant. However it depends on what you have stated on your application. Even if you have a consultant you can choose to keep your self as the first contact too.Dilu13 said:Hi everyone,

No matter what where you live in the world, you must appear in person to handover the Passport for the Visa. It is not allowed to send Sri Lankan passports via mail or courier. (Severe penalties will apply by local authorities and CHC does not accept as well) However if you can give your concent to some one by a written statement (could be your consultant/relative/friend) another person can appear at the CHC on your behalf too.
Those who are in Sri Lanka can appear personally to handover the passports and pick up on the same day evening!
