Yesterday I submitted my passport and got it stamped. I gave it around noon and returned to me around 3.30pm.

Quick question, did Colombo VO ask for a new police certificate? I've got a mail from them regarding some updates, however nothing regarding PC.

I read in other treat that you had the same situation as us.
Please tell me did you pay PRRF fees and then after 1 months you got your MR?Or you waited till your MR and then submitted your fees? As we are not base in Colombo, we had sent all new PCC and fees (DD) with little delay as we had some trouble to get PCC on time. Now it is more then 2 weeks without any news.My husband sent email to VO so far no reply.I believe that they have to give us receipt of receiving money it is correct?

Yes. VO requested PPRF and latest photos . We send the bank draft within 30days timeframe they gave and nearly after a month we got MR. I didn't get any receipt so for PPRF.

Congratulations!!! You only a few months away from your Canadian dream ;-)))
For me so far no news ;-( managed to sent all doc's, but with some delay as PCC took really long time to get it done.
