Hi, I did my medicals in Toronto on 18th July and still "Medical Received" line is not updated in ECAS NDVO.

Any suggestions when the ECAS will be updated for applicants who completed their medicals in Canada.

Thanks.

Hi mIckey,

I have same situation like yours and looking to complete my medicals in Toronto while my Visa Office is New Delhi
I request you to kindly share your experience, as I already sent email to NDVO for additional instructions to complete medicals inside Canada and haven't heard anything yet , though lot of people suggested to approach DMP and advise me not to waste time for waiting to get answer from NDVO.

Please share your experience for reply from NDVo, which Doctor you went, how many photographs needed, Cost of medical.

I would appreciate if you can reply on this post ASAP

Sincerely

Jitender

There is a member of another thread who got interview call from NDVO after submitting the PP. But she is in Canada now. So things could be different at any time my friends...

Hi Mickey,
I did my medicals in Toronto and it took exactly 28 days from date of medical done to ecas update...my dmp said it will take him between 2 to 3 weeks to send results to Ottawa.....I guess after Ottawa reviews it they send feedback to ndvo....I guess u shud check with ur dmp when they sent results to Ottawa and then add between 1-2 weeks to see update in ecas...

Cheers

Seminole !

I am presently in Toronto and received medicals/PPR/RPRF whereas my VO is New Delhi. I am quite confused about additional instructions for completing medicals inside Canada while having offshore Visa Office. I have read that you had similar case and suggested "Mickey76" also for same query.

Kindly suggest
1) Will NDVO send me additional instruction on different forms or that will be similar to what they have sent now. Does this effect my medicals if I get my medicals done in Canada without waiting for instructions from NDVO ?
2) How to send RPRF, Can I pay online ?
3) Where did you get your medicals completed and how many pictures you submitted and total cost of medicals

I would appreciate if you can reply on my queries ASAP.

Hi Jitu,
For the rprf fee, my lawyer advised sending draft directly to ndvo since my PCC was being couriered at that time too. I got my medicals completed at dr fredrico hung's on dundas st...they needed 4 pictures......he charged $120 for blood tests and $40 for X-ray which is at a nearby location....he promised to submit results to Ottawa in 2 to 3 weeks and overall it took me 28 days to see ecas update for meds recd.
Also for the medicals forms I received from ndvo, they didn't specifically issue additional forms or instructions for medicals being done outside india....however the forms I received were by postal mail from india and they had already glued my picture on the medicals form and had stamped it with ndvo Canada stamp......which is why when u got ur MR I was keen to know if they sent it by postal mail or email....
When I went to the Dmp, I specifically asked them to send results to ndvo and they asked me not to worry since they always send it to ottawa as per procedure and Ottawa will always forward it to the visa office whose name is listed on ur MR form and applications so I don't think u need to worry about separate forms etc...
Hope that helps....all the best

Cheers

Hi Jitu,

I too got the instruction to do the medicals within India.

I sent an email to NDVO asking for clarification as I am in Toronto and they replied in 8 business days. They attached few additional documents with details of my name, file number and all those... (they were the same documents that DMP had and they filled the information manually). In my case, they attached the additional documents along with the package they were planning to send it to Ottawa (I did my medicals before getting the response from NDVO).

I attached normal passport photographs, they just asked for 2 photos and no size restriction. They are not particular about the photo size (Any wallet size photo will do).

Doctor John (666 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga) was good, the visit took around 2 hours. Dr Fees - $120 and they sent me to another X-Ray lab where they charged me $36. So, total $156 for adults and 110 for kids. Nothing special that needs to be observed before the medical exam.

Let me know if you need more details.

Thanks,
Mikey

Thanks for your fast response.
I completed my medicals at Dr. Francis Li clinic at Bloor And Pape Av. (Outside Pape Subway), as it was the only DMP clinic opened on saturday. The total cost is $190 per person. and all facilities are available at door step. They asked for 3 photographs. I told them that I need my medicals to be routed to NDVO they said we will send it to ottawa only and no give you any report except receipt, when I showed them instructions I received which specifically indicated us to obtain photocopy of forms then they agreed to provide us photocopy of UMM1017 with out photographs and stamp on it. It took almost 1.5-2hrs without much of waiting and it overall was smooth experience.

I will be making Drafts from CIBC bank tomorrow for RPRF and try to send my Passport/RPRF/Medical forms/PCC through a friend who may return India on 31August. Please let me know if I am missing anything or you have suggestion about bank draft/Certified Chq for RPRF
