Friends,

some good news and some not-so-good news...

First the good news....My lawyer called me today and said that they have received communication from NDVO today issuing me MR/PCC/RPRF/PPR...

Now, the not-so-good-news....The letter from NDVO was dated 25th April 2012 (Yes , its APRIL, i verified the scanned copy from my lawyer a zillion times) and they sent the entire package by postal mail since I am in Canada. Not sure why it took soooooooo long for it to even get here..... The deadline to submit all the requested documents is 9th June 2012 (coming saturday)....My lawyer is going to contact NDVO requesting an extension to submit the documents since I will never be able to submit all the documents including medical results within 2 days...

Plan is to submit PCC as soon as possible, get DMP appointment asap so that I can get the medicals done and DMP can send it to NDVO as soon as possible and then hopefully by that time NDVO responds letting me know how much of an extension they can give me so that I can then plan to fly to India to submit passports...

Phew...My ecas had changed from A to B on 29th April i think...and they had already issued MR on 25th but somehow either the letter was shuffled between departments in NDVO or then postal mail from India took reallllly long. Wonder why they send MR by postal mail if its overseas....I guess all the folks who have got MR from NDVO have got it through email...

@ Sairam
, congrats on ur MR/RPRP/PPR....read that you are in Toronto as well, did you receive everything by postal mail too????

Friends, I hope you all get the PER/AOR/MR/DM that you all are waiting for soon as well....

Hopefully NDVO grants me an extension to be able to submit everything...

Cheers,

Seminole

Dear Babbu paji,Jaggy,spartan,Rawlin
My one friend had got offer letter from consultant regarding job in canada's Royal york Hotel.Consultant taken post dated cheque of 2 lacs and rest 6 lacs will be paid in installment as per my friend.Consultant give assured he will get his visa in 30 days but he has not call for medical only local body check up has been done.Is it possible to get the visa in this way? Arranged employer is consider out of way? without medical possible to get visa for work permit for 02 years .i am not assured weather the consultant is genuine or not.please share your thoughts If he want to cross check the genuineness how can he check? I have check the site address provided on offer letter its world wide renowned hotel group.

Dear goti,
I think your friend has tied for fishery organization which has got branches in spain, canada and Us(Alaska) if i am right then mate that is fake for sure..As per my knowledge generally Medical are taken for the purpose that the illness carried by the applicant is transferred to the community so MR is taken, If some test are omitted then i can assure you its fake. Even thought arrange employment their is still BC and SC checks so mate visa within a month its also a sign of fake...Sorry in my opinion its fake...
Warm regards,

As mentioned in MI(Implementation) on the CIC website:

My own words: The below in layman language means that MI2 applicants get a final determination from CIO itself(more decision making power vested with CIO in MI3) and VO cannot overturn it without procedural fairness. By procedural fairness, it means VO or missions need to ask for further evidence of docs and not reject an application outright. Hence, if you guys are not sure of sumthin in ur appln, be rest assured that VO will give you a chance to explain and cannot reject applns like they did for MI1 applicants.

Whats mentioned on the site: "There were subsequent administrative changes made at the CIO to coincide with MI2, the most important of which was that the final eligibility decision was made at the CIO, rather than at missions. Applicants sent their complete application packages, with supporting documents and results from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), to the CIO. Staff at the CIO then reviewed the application and made the final eligibility decision. They returned and refunded those applications that were not eligible and sent the eligible applications, together with associated documents, to the missions to be processed. Under this new process, missions could not reverse a positive eligibility decision, although they could refuse the application on other grounds.
While mission staff had no problem with the CIO making negative eligibility decisions, as the applicant can re-apply, many stated that their inability to reverse positive decisions can result in substantial additional work at the mission. In cases where they disagree with the CIO assessment, it is necessary to re-review the application and contact the applicant for further evidence of eligibility, in order to demonstrate procedural fairness."
Dear Jaggy,
U deserve a big +1 for this valuable info....i wish u all guys be hearing good news soon.
warm regards,
:)

Good morning Friends,

Hello Friends,
Good Morning :)
I have been trying various options for applying job; one of my friends who is citizen there told me that we should have our PR card to start working and getting PR card will take ~45 days.

I browsed through some pages and looks like SIN number is enough to start working, it will take 10 days to get SIN number. And, to apply for SIN number, we can use our passport and COPR copy.
Can some one confirm it?

3. What do I need to do to start working in Canada?
In order to work anywhere in Canada, you will require a Social Insurance Number (SIN). Apply for your SIN card immediately after you arrive in Canada. For instructions, visit the Service Canada website:
http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/sin/apply/how.shtml
Ensure that your CV or resume is written in English or French. It may also be necessary to have your credentials confirmed. There are many agencies throughout Canada that provide the service of accreditation equivalency. Refer to the landing guide for the province where you will be living for more information.

Ram

dear seminole...first of all congratulation !! I am very surprise to read the second part, though the situation is very complicated but where there is a will...there is a way!!
I guess you need to scan and send the MR postal letter to NDVO, As u have hired a consultant, so there is no need to take stress, just kick on his A**, He must be aware about the criteria to extend the MR...etc!! spend your time with consultant and make sure he gonna take responsibility of everything!! I will pray for u

Dua'o Mei yaad rakha..I wish u all best of luck for smooth and quick processing!!
