hi guys....jus thought of sharin my bro's experience in toronto, canada. he is stayin ther from dec 2008.
I don't know if I would reach Canada or not, it completely depends on my destiny as I hve always said. If I'm meant to b out ther I will b thr.
There positives and negatives to every country.....so one has to be ready to take both of it in their stride.
This is jus my personal opinion and not meant to hurt ny1, views may completely differ.
Me and my elder bro usually hve a video chat all most every weekend.
till nw, I can't remember my bro utterin any -ve statement against Canada, most of the times he boasts of its beauty nd multi-linguals out ther......he says toronto is mini India .....nd ther is not a single thing frm India that u dont get in toronto.
Ya but one needs to be patient coz gettin a good job means w8in for 5-6 months, which can b both frustatin nd annoyin as well.
Traffic rules are very very stringent and my bro says they fail u in d drivin test atleast once, even though u drive pretty well. At every traffic signal they have this gr8 cams which are only meant to take pics of ur car's plate no. and also the person sittin at steerin wheel. It takes sum 400-500 clicks per sec, thats hw tech freak Canada is........
It boasts of sum very nice Indian restaurants and 1 can get ny cuisine they want in canada......be rest assured u wont be depreived of good food in canada and u won't miss India food wise.
If u ask abt wat kind of ppl u would get to see in Canada. my bro says (though not many would agree wid me on tis) "canadians are a minority nowadays" ther r most punjabis, gujjus, pakistanis and a whole lot of sri lankans in canada.
the temperature as most ppl say in Canada (only toronto) is not inhospitabe at all.....though frm dec to march every yr it can slip sumwher around -20 and bcoz of the winds"called as wind chill" by canadians, u cn feel its almost -30.
for most of the yr its between 12 to 30 degree celsius.
renting a house in downtown toronto can cost u approx $1000 per month for 2bhk.....though I guess one can alwyas share or rent a house as per one's needs.
After 2 to 3 yrs of stayin in Canada and establishin themselves, one can get US visas also.
My bro does nt want to cum bck nw.....he's earnin very very well nd has his own house and car in Canada........so as one says its indeed a "Land of dreams".
Keep dreaming coz dreams do cme true.
