I received medical received line on e-cas on 1st of June and my DD was cleared on 4th of June as confirmed by the bank. However, I am still waiting for DM and my PP back. There are other members who have been waiting for passports for more than 5 months. On the other hand, my friend got his PP back in 3 weeks before the e-cas status was changed to DM. This leaves me totally confused about the timelines and what to expect when. My details are as below:

yeh mystery hai mere bhai..!! if you are lucky enough then u may get pp back in 2-4 weeks from medical received line.
No one give u the right timescale...but best of luck for rest and fill the given details of u for spreadsheet.

That's what I was confirming... Does not PP office stamp your PP before issuing the PCC.

and as far as SP office is concerned then that is much easier to get... Please elaborate the things once...

Dear Rawlin

Your passport belongs to Haryana, You can make an application for PCC to SP office..the formalities are not that much and you can collect PCC next day and it gonna cost u Rs 200 for a pcc.

Or U can go ro RPO with original PP, u need to book an appointment for that. They will call u for a particular day to collect PCC and will cost u Rs 500 for a PCC...(some one told me that they may take 15days to issue a pcc)

Isn't it valid for 6 months only...

If u have submitted a valid pcc with your application then they won't demand a new one until
>>the format is wrong (like ur case)
>>PCC got expire before issuing of visa

all pcc have a validity of 12 month.

I searched a bit & found that at some places people mentioned that PCC's are valid for 6 months & at some places as 12 months.

But, Now I think tha its for 12 months...

I havent seen the pic yet. I will see that tonight...

for your kind information..pcc is valid for 12 months, It was explained to me by a visa officer in UK. I don't have the source of info for that.
