@ barackobama,

chances r less that chc may mistake. Did u mentioned bout rprf's draft no. On the cover letter. If yes than don't worry.

If nt probably ur bank can give u the exact status.

Hi,....

I sent them a cover letter mentioning my uic, file no., date of birth, full name.
Also, I did sent them the same cover letter they told me to print and return(i.e passport and rprf request letter from cic)

I DID NOT SENT THEM RPRF'S DRAFT NUMBER...OR ANYTHING ABOUT DRAFT TO THEM..JUST A CHEQUE WHICH WAS FROM STANDARD CHARTERED BANK KOLKATA PAID IN FAVOR OF CANADIAN HIGH COMMISSION in INR..PAYABLE AT ALL BRANCES IN INDIA.. WHICH WAS PAPER CLIPPED TO THE COVER LETTER...

THANKS

I AM STILL A LITTLE BIT WORRIED..BCOZ EVERYONE IS TELLING THAT THEY WROTE NAME AND ADDRESS ON THE BACK OF RPRF..WHICH I DIDN'T..

MAY BE THIS IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKE I DID AT MY FINAL STAGE

LETS HOPE FOR THE BEST......................

Before going for medicals follow this link:http://www.simplesite.com/jaggy999/99856908

Payment Instructions for RPRF:

•Fees must be paid by bank draft, certified cheque, postal money order (PMO) or manager's cheque. Cash payment is not accepted.

•Print your name and file number on the back of the bank draft or certified cheque.

ND applicants, please ensure the following when you take a draft for RPRF fee.

1. The beneficiary should be “Receiver General for Canada” if it is in CAD

2. The beneficiary should be “Canadian High Commission” if it is in INR

Both payable at New Delhi.

RPRF at this time is CAD $490 for the principal applicant and also for accompanying spouse. So PA + spouse in total is Rs. 51940.

Nothing to be followed for PP except it should have atleast 2 blank pages(for dependants as well) and 6 months before it expires. :)

IMHO........should not be a problem.......worst case scenario Lets say if they misplace it, not to worry they will ask for a new one. Not a big deal.

PS: Well done, you atleast used a paperclip and attached it to cover letter.

You can.......but I would advise u against it.

Go to ur bank, where you hold an account. You just need to fill a form and a very nominal fee. You would get DD within 10-15 mins.

what the difference bro ?

GUYS I just came to know that CHC is calling now a days to confirm the mailing address & sending mail instead of email of MR, RPRF, PCC & PPR. So please keep checking the mails too.

Thanks & Regards

i am going for medical tomorrow. what the process ? please share

Thomas Cook is not a bank itself......its a travel agency........it would get you a DD thru a bank

Why go via thomas Cook to a bank when you can directly get it done from a bank. You can even follow it up with the bank if and when the DD gets encashed.

PS:Thomas Cook would charge you way extra than a bank. If a bank makes it for Rs.150 fee, Thomas Cook may charge you Rs.750 for the same. Rest is upto u.
