you are right, there are rare chances about it, are u able to check your ecas status or not, if yes then don't worry 4 AOR, usually NDVO send aor between 3-6 weeks of PER?

i am in the same boat...i got PER on 24 apr 2012 but still havent got AOR...most of the time they do issue AOR but sometimes they dont and straight away jump to MR...there have been cases of missed AOR and straightaway MR...so hang in there..n njoy the waiting game...

1. Application filed > May 28, 2010
2. Confimation of receipt of Application package received > June 2, 2010
3. Received letter from Centralized Intake Office, Sydney(issuing an UCI# and an Application #) and asking me to send additional docs/final package > Oct 1, 2010
4. Confirmation of receipt of Application package(final) by NDVO > Jan 17, 2011
NDVO advised me(through snail mail) to send any communications('reminder' in this case) through my representative/agent(JET Immigration) as I had authorized the same > Sep 9, 2011
5. On my behalf, my agent (JET Immigration) sent a reminder to NDVO > Oct 10, 2011...but nothing changed/I heard
6. Status changed at ECAS: Your Application was recevied and we started processsing on May 29, 2012

Chance for Immigrants to Apply for New Temporary Resident Visa

Canadian temporary residents in Canada with valid status such as a valid study or work permit now can apply for a new temporary resident visa before they leave, at Immigration Canada's Case Processing Pilot office in Ottawa (CPP-O), an extension of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)'s oversea network.

To apply for new temporary resident visa to Canada, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

*Applicants must be legally admitted as a temporary resident (student or temporary foreign worker only) in Canada with a Canadian residential address,
*The current temporary resident status must still be valid, and the existing counterfoil is expired and/or was valid for only one entry, and
*Applicants must require a new temporary resident visa to return to Canada in the near future.

Applicants are advised to pay the fees a few days before mailing the application, as financial institutions and credit card companies may require up to five business days before they validate the payment.

NDVO sends it by Registered Indian Post(Express Mail)............They would not mail it back to Canada instead they would mail it to your Indian residential address.

I guess its better u cme back to India......coz it would be a big headache(not trying to scare u but I have witnessed it myself)........and believe me no courier company(neither national or international) would be ready to ship ur PP from India to Canada.

It would be a big dilemma then......ur stamped PP in India and u in Canada........

Even if ur relatives in India hide ur PP(saying they are just regular docs) in sum way thru DHL or Fedex........its still risky......coz if during security checks they find a PP inside its a crime. Its not allowed to ship PP across countries.

I'm really feeling bad to scare u in sum manner .........but if u want my honest advice.......come to India.....stay back until to get ur stamped PP back and return back and complete landing procedure

Hi Seniors,

I got my PR under Skilled Worker. I applied as a Single Applicant. When I got to Canada they asked whether I am married and my civil status, I told them that i'm not married but I have a fiance but I'm not married. Then they asked why I didn't include her in the application and I told them bcos we weren't married and somehow they didn't seal the PR on my passport and couple of days later asked me to fly back to Sri Lanka and solve the issue with the embassy. I went there today she told me that you have to give details of a even a girlfriend if you have one and they will cancel my PR since it was missleading them.

Pls Help me. How can I appeal this decision? Is there something I can do?

yup babbubhai.....I read it ....he's a Sri Lankan citizen........but I don't think he's PR is revoked......they just asked him to return back and sort the case with embassy in Sri Lanka .....I don't blame him.....U don't need to mention ur fiance name in ur appln coz u still not married to her....

well jaggy..he had mentioned the VO that he was in a relationship to his GF and they were living 2gether!! In western culture we call it common law partner!! Ask you bro back in Canada, he may clear your doubt..
Well..Motive of the post is "Don't be over smart during immigration at airport" They to keep your mouth shut and avoid to give un-necessary info to VO...

Yep i have also read it,
his full story....

My PR application was approved and I got my VISA on May 16 th.

At my arrival in Vancouver I was asked the following questions

Are you married - I said No

Are you travelling alone I said yes

Are you single I said I have a girlfriend and we were living together from June (referring to the days I spent with her on my days off)

And also said I was in a common law relationship without fully realizing the meaning of it.

I was asked why I didn't mention this in my application I stated that I was not married to her and also hadn't lived one year with her. The officer said then why did you say you were in a common law relationship I said if you need to live for one year for common law relationship then I haven't.

when I told that how i am supposed to add my girlfriend when we only lived with her for 6 months the officer told that I should have assumed by the time i got my PR it will be one year I asked how I can be sure whether I will be with the same person and she said I am with her still.

My Passport was seized until she can clarify the situation with Colombo, and I was given a letter to enter the country.

Next day I was asked to come and had another interview and I was told I had two options That the officer spoke to the visa officer from Sri Lanka and the best option would be for me to return to and I would be able to add them to m y file or I would be detained and deported and also I may not be able to sponsor mygirlfriend ever.

I spoke to a supervisor afterwards and again I clarified I was not in a common law relationship and that I said the word without fully realizing the meaning of it I was again recommended to return stating that this would be the best option if I wanted to sponsor my girlfriend one day.

I returned to Sri Lanka and when to the Embassy and met a visa officer Upon my arrival I submitted my passport and she had it with her when she came in for the interview,She stated that my file is closed and they cannot do any amendments and that my visa is also cancelled and I will be banned for two years from entering Canada.

This might sound ridiculous to you guys and I think the same. But this is what happened. Can you advice me what to do about this?

Can I appeal this somewhere? Embassy or court or some other organization....

NDVO won't stamp visa on your PP until you will be physically present in India, what about if they will call u for an interview..?? Its illegal to post any PP outside from country...Moreover no courier services will take responsibility of it!! This is a fact my dear friend and I can't keep u in dark!!
