A GUY POSTED THIS ON OTHER THREAD PULLED IT HERE....SEE THE BOLD REPLY FROM CIC NEW DELHI... THIS GAVE ME A BIG RELIEF...
hi,
At one point when I was about to apply for FSW, I inquired New Delhi VO regarding documents. This is regarding originals and notarized photocopies. As it is mentioned that Original is mentioned for the transcripts, I sent out the originals? Was it a mistake?

Dear Sir/Madam,
This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.
You should get the photocopies of documents notarized by a Notary Public. It is not necessary to notarize all documents, only specified documents must be notarized. Unless you have been specifically asked to provide original documents, please provide only photocopies. Original documents would be returned at time of finalization. Please see our website www.india.gc.ca for the processing times.
We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Subject: FSW Canada Application Inquiry
Dear Sir/Mam,
I am an applicant from Nepal applying for FSW. I have some inquires on the required additional documents for Federal Skilled Worker Application inquiry-
1. Is it OK to have the documents notarized by a notary public officer i.e. a lawyer with permission granted by notary public to notarize documents or do we have to get them notarized from the ministry of foreign affairs?
2. The Immigration guide states that to notarize a photocopy document-
To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:
->„„I certify that this is a true copy of the original document‟‟
->the name of the original document
->the date of the certification
->his or her name
->his or her official position or title
->his or her signature
But while notarizing most notary public officers do not have field for the name of the original document in their stamp, What should i do?
3. Do we need to notarize all the photocopy of pages of the passport?
4. What is the duration of time the original degree certificates/originals will be held by the Visa Office?
5. I had translated the documents Law Books Management Board which is authorized by Notary Public act for authentic translation. I was not able to obtain an affidavit for the translated documents. Is this fine or the affidacit required? Also do we need to send the original of the translated documents or notarized copies.
Sincerely
