Since I was asked for proof of fund and I did not have enough money in the account. But I rejected once after medical. In the second rejection, they did not accept my work experience and rejected me after a year.
O dear! That's sad. I pray all works out well for you now. I have not been asked for proof of funds yet. Though I submitted a 4 months statement with my original application. It means they might still ask for it. All the best everyone.

Yeah I was so upset. However I have kept sufficient amount of money in the bank account this time. I also provided them 4 months statements this time.

I'm sorry for what happened to you. I hope you'll get the PR this time. Best wishes!

I had about 3000$ less

Hmm they are really serious about this settlement fund, can asset represent part of the settlement fund?

I have no idea my friend. But I guess it is safe to have the exact amount in the bank.

With all this TA/RA job description difficulty being so relevant for the PhD stream, I think the following is a very interesting ruling by the Federal Court on a rejection of a PR application, due to the job descriptions being all too similar with the required NOC descriptions.

The CIC officer deemed the descriptions as self-serving, and crafted specifically for the PR application, hence, not being credible enough . Thankfully, the Federal Court reversed the decision, stating that having almost copy-pasted job descriptions, by itself, is not a sufficient ground of incredibility.

Hi Asal2013,

Since his PhD is from a Canadian university, and then he would not have to have his other degrees evaluated for equivalence. They only care about the highest degree, not the number of years spent for education:
Thanks meyakanor

They are. There was a user here who had 600 less than the required amount and they rejected her just based on that reason. The money needs to be in cash, and it cannot be borrowed. They are very serious about this.

Hi all,

Just a update about my application being sent to the wrong office.

I accidently sent my application package to PR processing office instead of "P.O. Box 8300, Sydney, NS B1P 0B6" in August 2014. Fortunately, my application was forwarded to the right office. "CC/BD enchased" on Nov. 20. I really appreciated the person who forwarded my application to the right office.

For people who haven't sent their application out yet, be sure to send your package to the right office.

Figure crossed for my application.
