There you have it!
Ace2012,

I am so sorry to hear that. I have one friend from Iran who has almost the same timeline as you. What I know is that he has got stuck in security check and he is waiting for PPR as same as you.
I think the best thing that you can do is to wait and cross your fingers to pass the security check sooner.
I hope you get it soon. Waiting so long after medical is painful.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I just think it is not fair this way. Not that I don't want other people to get it fast, but why should I wait more that double the time? I originally applied March 2012 and got rejected exactly 1 year after, telling my NOC code was wrong, and now this! I mean,...... come on!!!

Yes you are right. It is not fare for everybody. Specially some people from specific countries have experienced many difficulties because of their nationalities.
Just be patient. I know it is difficult but that is what you can do. Cross your fingers and hopefully you will get it soon.
This is the third time I have applied for PR. So you are not alone!

Help on my medical exam pls everyone!!! I am an early July applicant, got PER on OCT. 25, 2014, RPRF request on Nov. 17, and medical request on Nov. 20. I did my medicals today, when I realized I've been taking antidepressant for the past year......I told the doctor of course, and now it's on file which makes me start to be really worried :'( :'( :'( Would the reviewer think that my health condition is a concern to my completion of Phd study and thus reject my application? What's worse, I am taking a term off studying back home in China right now, so the medical exam is done outside Canada...Any opinions anyone?

I personally don't think they are concerned with such things. These days many of us have such situation and It is temporary and is not costly and it is common so I guess there is no reason to be worried. You did great to tell the doctor as he might have been misunderstood.

This is a very specific problem that most of the people in this forum do not have enough knowledge to help you out. If it's already uploaded, just wait and see what happens. Personally, I think it should be fine and at most the CIC asks you to redo the exam. It's not like HIV+ to reject you right away. Having said that, I'm not an expert and this is just personal opinion. I would suggest to call your physician and discuss it with him/her. He should be able to clarify it for you.

Good Luck

It seems that the quota for permanent residency is full for this year. If I am right, we should not expect to receive the PPR before 2015!
I wonder if we can find information about this anywhere?
Why would they have a quota if they have cap numbers already?
I still have my hopes up!!

The last report was on Nov 6 and there were 180 applications received. That's like 40 applications in 2 weeks. I don't think that's super fast. I mean, I just started observing it lately because I will send in my application soon. What was the dynamics before?

I know about this cap and the overall of 25.000 is also not nearly being reached.
I was referring to a previous comment in which a member said there was another quote which has been reached and therefore we won't get processed towards PPR until 2015.

I remember it was around 86 in October. In a month and half it has reached 220. The rate is faster now compared to May-October duration.
However, I hope we hear good news soon. I hope they do not leave us for a long period (i.e. six months or more) to process applications received before us!!

I have a more serious condition than that and they didn't even ask me anything. I doubt they will find an issue with what you have.

TyrusX,

Since it has been 25 months after the AOR, why don't you talk to MP to make the process on your application faster? It has been a long time for you.
