Nothing new. They printed the notes the day following my request and kept them for an entire month before emailing to me!

Guys! My CC was charged on Dec 27 and today I can see my ecas status IN PROCESS but I have not got PER email yet. Anyone has any idea that ecas status IN PROCESS means my application is eligible (PER) and has already transferred to visa processing office?

Thanks aidina. I can also see the CIC saying "You can check the status of your application online after the visa office has started to process your application." (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-after.asp). It seems that In PROCESS status means you cleared up the eligibility review from CIO.

I have a question. CIC says "international PhD sutdent has finished at least two years of study toward a PhD" could apply under PhD stream.

If I transfer to master now( after medical ), does it make any problem for my case?

I assume it certainly does. CIO gave you the positive eligibility review on the basis of your enrollment /completion of a full time doctoral degree program. So you would have to be a full time PhD student, as well as be in good academic standing. If not, you would not be satisfying the PhD stream requirement.

Until a positive decision is made on your application and ideally until you complete your landing formalities, you should not contravene the above guidelines..

I received the email a couple days after they withdrew the money from my credit card but I also heard cases that there are couple weeks in between. Have you tried to call CIC? They might be able to tell you on the phone.

He told me I have to contact to Ottawa directly. I thought that the PER email should be sent by syndey!! Anybody has Ottawa telephone number?

Sydney sends out the PER e-mails. Ottawa does not answer by phone.

I received my GCMS notes today and I got 74 points in total. Though it is enough for eligibility, I'm wondering if I was supposed to get 5 more points for past work in Canada? I received 5 points for adaptability (due to my master's degree in Canada). I don't have any work experience other than RA/TA. Does the work need to be under work permit to be counted or was I supposed to get 5 more points for RA/TA experience?

Finally received the passport back with CoPR today! It was actually sent back on Thursday. Visa was issued on the same day I got the passport request. Hoping to land sometime next week. Will update you guys...

Oh, and I still can't access eCAS!
