Ya, I've heard stories of people getting bank statement request after not submitting it the first time. It may actually work, but obviously you're taking a risk by not sending a complete application and it may be returned (it is clear from the checklist that you do need to include bank statement, and your money needs to be above a certain threshold).aililia said:Undoubtedly sending a complete application is the best way to save time but not the only way to succeed.
Every opinion we post here is either our interpretation of regulations or obtained experiences as we are not immigration lawyer. Even a lawyer might believe in an idea which a cic officer doesn't and takes the case to federal court.
As all we see from a case to another, officers make completely different decisions.
Like you guys my suggestion is to send an application as complete as possible to avoid extra delay but it doesn't mean that the application will fail if one doesn't include some particular docs.
Bank statement history, however, is a completely different matter. It is not explicitly required, but it is part of the checks that CIC may perform IF they think that the money is not yours. As was the case with hamoon, they do not require that you have the money for the whole period, just that they need to be convinced that the money is yours. The most important indicator that they are looking for is probably whether you have much less money than required at the time of the request.
This was the reason why MASOUD2011 was rejected, because at the time of the request, his balance was close to zero, and several large deposits were made to meet the threshold. They unfortunately were not convinced that the money was his, even though at the time of rejection, he already had the money for more than 6 months
