Everything was in our plan for a long time, because we really do not intend to live in Quebec (Otherwise, CAQ was not that difficult for us.), and really want to move to Ottawa after graduation. It doesn't matter for us to move a few months earlier for the immigration. But after we received the letter, we accelerated everything: searching the apartment, sign the lease, etc. And provided all relevant documents either completed or on-half-way, or even just in the plan.canadian-13 said:Thanks for this piece of info. At what point would you advise the move? In my case it is not as simple as that sincemy kids have to finish the school year, it is not cost-effective for only my husband to move.... If we move now, we have to change the kids schools and we are not considering settling down finally in Ottawa, our options are in Alberta axis, if we change schools now, we will change again to AB.... June is when they finish this school year...

Hi! I think the answer is yes!! Any credential obtained from outside Canada, will need to be verified. Please see below, some copied material from CIC website:elnazdel said:Hello all,
I do appreciate your input for the following case:
I am planning to apply under phd stream. I am in my 4th year of phd. I have done a one year master's degree from a Canadian University. I have another bachelor and masters degree from a non-canadian university. But I already have enough points. So Do I need to get my previous credentials assessed?
Thanks much

Nah, it just says that they've received my file. I'll order another one in a week or two to see what's happening.Willbeat said:HI
Other than Sydney's assessment, did you see any activity from Ottwa already?
Correction my eligibility assessment has a due date of Dec 20, 2014.sia_kb8 said:Nah, it just says that they've received my file. I'll order another one in a week or two to see what's happening.
Thanks Sia_Kb8. I was also thinking to order GCM but it seems that it is better to wait couple of months after PER so that we can have another eligibility review (from SL department or so) from Ottawa ( that one is still not a final though) and I hope we would still have enough time for any ammendment before final eligibility revew at ottawa ( by so called FA )sia_kb8 said:Correction my eligibility assessment has a due date of Dec 20, 2014.
Most people are talking about the due date at the bottom of page 2. The other due dates are for specific tasks. Mine said the same thing: criminality is in progress, and security and Medicals are not started.chakri264 said:Hi, I got my first GCMS. It has several due dates. How do I find the due date that every one is talking about? It says the criminality is in progress. Remaining eligibility, security and Medicals are not started.
I'd recommend getting it early. Checking the notes on the last few pages and having enough (I hope) time to address any issues before it's too late.Willbeat said:Thanks Sia_Kb8.
