congratulation in advance. Yes, it's too much paper work.Stuck In Quebec said:Hi All
I received my most recent GCMS notes today. The final evaluation was done by FA. Few pointers:-
- final score exactly at 67. (phew)
- accepted updated Schedule 3 and add on work experience post appplication.
- No points for 2 years of full time study.
- No points for post doc position. They don't take it as an arranged employment I guess.
-Security field blank.
-Medical sent not received.
- Criminality ok.
As a closing note, FA put in "However, I will request proof of funds to ensure compliance with 76(1) (b).
Tough cookie. Sending it proactively before they ask and delay my application. So until you get the PP request, they can ask or verify anything. I just want this thing to end. Too long and too much paperwork.
I don't have experience on such case but I think it's not possible to be full time student and have full time job.narvansri said:Dear All,
anyone had such experience. Two days back CIC enquired with part time employer and the employer said that I work full time. after wards I got a letter from CIC to confirm and send documents to support That i am a fulltime student and eligible to apply under PhD stream. I sent all documents such as tution fee statement and T2202a to them. Afterwards sent a confirmation mail and no reply from them. I hope for the best from them.
No ideas, just speculations, my GCMS indicated that back in march 2013, the prelim assessment was done by SL and proof of funds were asked and there was a statement that PA doesn't appear to have continuous work experience though I claimed 3 years of work experience apart from RA. Also lead statement is there but PA appears not to have done 70% of duties stipulated in NOC. The file was then assigned to FA for further assessment. Thats when I panicked and updated the work experience letters and claimed RA work ex too as back at application time, I didnt have the proper letter for RA work and to avoid delays, I applied without RA as I had enough work years. Now in Nov 2013 FA assessed the file and generated the medical request with the notes that I shared. Thankful to the forum for sharing their experiences and still keeping fingers crossed.abdul78 said:In my last notes (back in june), I found that my file was directly assigned to FA, and there was no pre-assessment other than the one done by CIC.
Any ideas guys?
I sent a new schedule 3 as I had not claimed RA work experience as I had enough work ex. It was a while back on the forum that I asked the same question for a friend whether it is possible to update and claim more work ex if not previously claimed. When it came on me after not so favourable assessment initially, I decided to claim RA work ex for myself too. But I had not put the NOC code for it in schedule 3, so it would not have been considered. So I rectified the, work ex letters for NOC on the schedule 3 I had submitted with the package and sent in a new schedule 3 with NOC for RA and work ex letter for RA just hoping that it might be considered. So if you are claiming for period of work ex for NOC codes already mentioned in your originally submitted schedule 3, I dont think it would be necessary just send them new work ex letter with increased time period. If claiming work ex in NOC code not mentioned in original schedule 3, then do so. They might accept. Its not gonna hurt.ubc2010 said:congratulation in advance. Yes, it's too much paper work.
Just a quick question, should I send schedule 3 as well if I want to update my file before the final processing. That is, I sent them a letter of PhD completion by email, and an updated work experience letter so do I need to send a new schedule 3 form.
Thanks
Thats shaky, there have been cases where people have applied in this stream and then had to leave the program. If your part time employer said that you worked full time, it means that you were not enrolled as a full time student because as a full time student, your off campus work permit allows you to work 20 hrs/week. They want to make sure that you actually are still a full time student and not violating any conditions. Send them a transcript official or unofficial stating that you are still enrolled and in good standing. Also get a letter from your graduate office mentioning that you are enrolled in good standing. If you have yearly thesis committee report/ comprehensive exam report, send that too. In the end, ask your part time employer to write you a letter that you are employed part time and the previous communication was an error. If all is true what you say, the employer will easily write this letter. CIC is very vary of immigration frauds, so send them as many docs as possible for them to ascertain the authenticity of your application and your status as full time PhD student eligible to apply in this category.narvansri said:Dear All,

Just my 2 cents worth of thought, hope it helps.
Yes, if you are claiming more years in work experience in the NOC category already mention, then need not submit a new schedule 3, just send a new work ex letter with current dates to add on number of years of experience.ubc2010 said:Thank you so much.
Well, in my case I have already included the RA/TA work ex. but I need to update it; hoping I will get more points. Then, as I understand, I don't need to include a new schedule 3. Am I correct?
Best
