Thanks for your suggestion! Most of the applicants got the rejection letters before any document request, some were requested POF, CVs and PCC. Now, you can find the requested document between 2 brackets after the rejection reason.

You're more than welcome!
So, it has been proved that early document request was kind of hoax by the rejection of Sagar84 :(. This is really heart breaking and scary as well :(

It is kind of weird..but, maybe they just want updated PCCs for their records.:)...but i forgot to ask, did you send the consent form signed by your spouse with your CAIPS??..becos if not, maybe that's why her column appears blank since they won't disclose her info to you without her consent :)
No...you maybe right, anjuku. This happened to me when we requested to change our address. They asked us send request by using email adresses recorded in the file, respectively. I really should send that form...... :(

Since I was expecting a rejection email, I did the ECA assessment. I did it with WES (http://www.wes.org). They do it in 7 business days after they receive all the required documents.
Their price is better than others (180 $) and they did it fast. So, I recommend to go with WES if you want to do the assessment.
The transcripts must be sent directly form the university to them. Otherwise, they won't do the assessment.

How is your appeal going?
Appealing is going on. Still no results. To be honest, I am not optimistic about it! :(
By the way are u from Iran too? Do you know that universities in the back home accept to directly mail the transcripts to WES?

"PAFSO officials estimate that job action by immigration officers has resulted in major delays to application processing and a significant drop in the number of visas being issued. These impacts will be felt directly by Canada’s tourism industry, educational institutions, and businesses relying on temporary foreign workers. The Department of Citizenship & Immigration’s decision to shift non-striking resources toward visa processing will also result in significant processing delays to applications for permanent residency."

I know for a fact that Sharif Univ has streamlined the entire process and they are familiar with the situation. They charge you a small fee and they take care of everything for you.

In general they are not super excited to do that for you, though. You need to get someone to go there and talk them into signing that English form and sealing the translated transcripts. It's a bit of a hassle for our families/friends back home.

Hi guys

I sent in my proof of funds (requested June 10th) a week ago to Ottawa. The next day I got this email from them:

I am writing you this letter to express my serious concerns regarding your application for permanent residence in Canada under the Canadian Experience Class.

As per Regulation 75(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, the Federal Skilled Worker Class is prescribed as a class of persons who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to economically establish themselves and who intend to reside in a province other than the Province of Quebec. Although you indicated on your application form that you intend to reside in Toronto, Ontario, you currently live and work in Montreal, Quebec. Furthermore, you have not completed your course of study at McGill University. I am concerned that you do not intend to live in a province other that the Province of Quebec.

Therefore I am asking you to submit any additional information and/or documentation that would allay my concern. You have 30 days from the date of this letter to submit the additional information and/or documentation to me. Please ensure that you quote the file number indicated at the top of this letter on any information you submit. If you choose not to respond with additional information and/or documentation, or if your submission does not allay my concern(s), your application may be refused.

I look forward to receiving the additional information and/or documentation within 30 days.

I responded to clarify that I'm applying under the PhD stream and not CEC and asked if proof of relatives in Toronto would be acceptable information to show that I intend to live there. This was the response:

You may submit any documentation that you believe would demonstrate that you intend to reside in a province other than the Province of Quebec upon receiving permanent resident status in Canada. There is no one document that we can recommend as every case is treated individually; the onus is on you to allay our concerns as noted in our message below.

I currently do not have a job offer from Ontario and will not be graduating for at least a year. Other than relatives, is there anything else that can be used as proof of intention to live outside of Quebec?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Guys, I've done my landing process yesterday. I landed in montreal, which is a totally valid POE for anyone, got my luggage and proceed to immigration. There it took about 2 minutes until someone called me, there was no line but everyone was busy. They requested my Passport and confirmation of permament residency document. I got them the B4 paper sat for 5 minutes and I was done. They didn't ask for anything else. No proof of funding, not even a document showing my address, I just said it aloud to her and it was good enough. Then I got my documents back and a copy of the B4 paper and everything was done in 10 minutes total time. As anyone would expect, me being white and blonde made the entire process ridiculously easy, to the point that I actually felt a bit disappointing after the way asbereth was treated.

Congratulations!! Tyrusx so finally now you are in our Alumni group :). You could be right regarding Asbereth issue, Alas!! this is called civilized world :(. But the good thing is that a significant number of ppl (who are not white/blonde) had also pleasant landing experience which implies there is still some humanity around us ;))

First, You do not need to put the translated transcript in the sealed envelope. This is the response that I got from WES a while ago;

" they can send the transcripts in Farsi and you can fax us the translation in English."

Second, you can mail the envelope by your seld. Just get that English form signed by office of registrar and ask them to seal both the form and farsi transcript in an envelope. Then you can mail the envelope by your self directly to WES and write the university address as sender address.

Hi Kaziahmmed,

I totally understand your anxiety, I was in the same situation two weeks ago. I told this two month ago in this forum. Early document request means nothing. I am really wondering that why it has been proved to you after Sagar84 rejection. Not only me, many other members also mentioned this before in the forum. I strongly believe that you should not count on your PR until you land. Just be cautious and try your best to prevent any rejection at any step you are.

Good Luck

Sagar's rejection apparently had nothing to do with the early document request. In fact his work experience was accepted and accrued him up to 17 points. The only thing that let him down was his standardized test scores (10/24) and the famous 5 adaptability points. Even if he had maxed out points for work experience there was just no way he could have made it with those language scores. He relied on adaptability seeing him through. Even though what you hypothesize may be right the evidence you offer is not quite right at least in this case !!

Another thing I noticed in OP6B that we all have been doing is taking description of job duties from the website and putting on the reference letters. OP6B says if they are copied directly it might be a problem as the officer cant gaze what were the exact duties. So be careful about that. I changed the points accordingly and changed the language a bit. We on this forum I think should keep in mind too. Sometimes too good is too bad.
Good point ! +1

I sent an inquiry to confirm if they received our PCCs. Today I received email indicating that our PCCs were attached to our file. Guys, does it mean that Ottawa at least still has some guys work on our applications?Or it is just kind of minimum level e.g. attaching files and answering inquries rather than processing....
