Just wanna share with you my landing experience. I landed on last Friday. It was very simple, drove US border, told them I am here as a part of my landing as Canadian immigrant. They asked me to go inside, then officer gave me two options (i) I can get visiting permit as I have US visa (ii) I can be rejected and returned to Canada. I asked him for the second option. After receiving the rejection letter, I drove back to Canadian border to re-enter Canada. Then I told to the Canadian officer my main purpose and handed over my passport. He gave me yellow receipt and asked me to visit their office, immigration section. I waited around 20 mins to get my turn. The officer was very nice in behave. She asked for the immigration documents only, mainly CPR and passports. She did not ask any further documents like bank statement or my job letter, though I was ready with those. However, she asked me to declare two points in the form and signature the form. After 10 min she was ready with my passport to give me back. At that time she asked me if I have any valid immigration document like study permit or work permit. I gave her both of my study permit and work permit and she kept those as I do not need those any more. All together it took one and half an hour.
My landing was very smooth and pleasant, no extra document was asked for except passport and CPR, but everybody should be ready with bank statement in any case if they want to see that.
Best of luck with rest of the applicants. It is an awesome forum, it helped me lots.
