I actually sent some corrections to my background form (to Buffalo) as soon as I got my file number last year (on the same day I got my PER). My file got updated with the corrections roughly two months later though (from GCMS) That was probably because, as you said, my application was not yet set to visa office, and also the fact that there was a transfer of application from Buffalo to Ottawa around that time, so there was probably a lot of confusion back then.aidina said:You must send them to the visa office you selected on your application. You can wait a little bit before sending them as most probably your file has not reached the visa office by now.
Getting there It's good news, I'm 100 percent sure. If Ottawa is not in the mood of trolling, you should get your PPR really really soonsmallkick said:Update my status:

Hi HTC2013, do you mind sharing which department (or code) sent you this request? Was it RK6165? FA01772? GG06553? JP5777?HTC2013 said:Yeah, Mine is RA/TA.
If you order your GCMS notes now, you will be able to see who will look at your file next (my guess, it will be FA01772), and approximately when.HTC2013 said:It was RK6165
I think you were the first member of this thread who got RPRF request, right? Looks like the way applications are processed in Ottawa always changes. (Mohazy, for instance, even has a due date for the RPRF payment, which has never happened before!) But I'm pretty sure you passed a selection step if you got a communication like that from FA01772.dj2009 said:My RPRF request was from FA01772.
Ya, dj2009's RPRF email mentioned that he has passed eligibility (which would mean has already passed selection factor necessarily). I think it is his background check that is still pending.kg.jadu said:I think you were the first member of this thread who got RPRF request, right? It was most likely just a check for completeness then. One of my friends got a similar request as you did (PhD info) from RK6165, and in his GCMS notes, it was only mentioned that PhD info was requested, but selection factor has not been evaluated yet. Also, judging from your timeline, you applied way after the batch that is currently being processed (I think they're processing April 2012 and May 2012 applicants now).HTC2013 said:It was RK6165
Yes, I got my RPRF request much sooner than expected. The request mentioned that my application is found eligible.kg.jadu said:I think you were the first member of this thread who got RPRF request, right? Let's hope they won't reject the first one, but I was wondering, what prompted you to send the second application again? Did you send updated letter of reference for your first application?salam20 said:I have got the PER for the second application.
Please note: my first app. is still in process. I had a request for proof of fund on May 8th, 2013.
Just update your reference letter for the 1st application. That is all you need!salam20 said:I have got the PER for the second application.

This is obviously a good news , and I wonder' why exactly they couldn't just make the decision right then and there. If they have decided that the file should be re-opened, evaluating IELTS scores would only take like 5 seconds, and the evaluations of other aspects of selection factor have already been done.beh467 said:I received a call from MP's office today morning. Do not worry. They are sometimes slow. However, they are logical people.beh467 said:I agree.
If they don't contact me in 10 days I will ask the MP's assistant to call them again.
