Just to add to aidina's comment, regarding job descriptions, several applicants have had their applications rejected due to job description not having performed substantial jobs under NOC 4012, despite the fact that their job descriptions are matching those of NOC 4012. If possible, while trying to match those of NOC 4012 substantially, also try to include some details on your research fields as well.

For example, instead of saying 'conducting laboratory experiments', say something like 'conducting wind tunnel laboratory experiments to determine efficient coefficient of drag of F117 model' or something like that. Instead of leaving it general as 'data analysis', say something like, 'data analysis of wind tunnel laboratory experimental results using visualization software such and such'.

No one knows. It may be terminated in May when the new FSWP is introduced. Or when the Expression of Interest system is introduced in January 2014.

I think it will continue at least until the current cap is reached (or October 31). I really hope though that it will continue much longer than that, or better yet, make it an eligibility category for CEC, which would get rid a lot of headaches, especially with regards to proof of funds or having enough points.

I'm saying they can cancel, not cheering of it right. I do think they should transfer it to CEC.

All these rejections makes me very frustrated. I need the PR to help my wife getting a master degree opportunity. In her field there is very limited opportunities every year. I want to get the PR to support her application.

For myself, I am sure it will help me reducing my expenses on international fees ( a year or two left in the PhD) and I might get rental and employment supplement. There is an opportunity to get the city housing thing but is very low probability. The best thing is that I will not need to renew my wife and my visa, work permit nor study permit. Paper work of a big hassle. I might be able to work full time, but this is not the point as long as I am receiving fund from my supervisor.

But I can wait to get all these benefits when I am done with my studies and get a job and I can apply easily then.

Can I get additional experience letter with full time RA? I can see the dates when I was receiving scholarships from the grad studies or the dept or my supervisor, and I ask my supervisor to give me a letter with duties and hours of 37.5 per week. But the point is I have already sent with my application copies of my T4 and HR letter that shows the true real hours, that I worked as RA and TA. I am confused what can I do not know how to get the work experience rejection cause out of my mind.

Do not mail anything to CPP-Ottawa. When you decide to send them a document on your own (i.e. without their request), you must send the scan of the document to them in an e-mail.

If I were you, I would send it right away. It can save you lots of time (at least 2-3 months). Mail it to their mailing address in Ottawa.

Ya, this is probably a good idea. Also, it's probably not a bad idea either to start preparing for even the new one (just in case) while waiting, especially if it will take months to process, and it's only valid for 6 months. You never know.

As I mentioned, I got asked to provide FBI certificate all over again, even though I submitted a brand new certificate with the initial application, and I haven't visited the US in more than 3 years. I was lucky enough to have 'premonition' (or paranoia) that I either had to re-apply or would get requested for a new PCC, that a week before I got my document request, I re-applied for FBI PCC (and the FBI received my application form just one day before I got the request for PCC).

pretty sure they will change the rules so only babies of Canadians or PR get citizenship pretty soon.
