It might be related, might not be. I cannot be affirmative. However, yours is different, isn't it? You can check your status and it says "in process" according to the tracking sheet?

Ours is "in progress". But I thought that was the same for s.guo82. I still don't see how that can matter though. Maybe we should wait and see what the reason for refund was.

Hi all,

I just got an email from CIC today (actually from e-xact.com).

They charged us the immigration fee with my credit card on Feb 6. But today I got the below email from e-xact.com.

It appears they have refunded us the fee.

Does this mean they have decided to return our application?

Yeah, a common practice for e-cas status update, there are exceptions though.

I think u dont need to worry about it as urs is already "in process". Also, because urs is "in process" and u have a secondary applicant with u, the whole refund thing may not necessarily be caused by the secondary applicant. Having said that, any application including two applicants does need more documents to be prepared, which increases the chance of incompleteness of supporting materials.

Yeah, I agree, there is no reason for them to speed up the process for us. Is not like they urgently need a bunch of phds
to work as carpenters.
But MASOUD2011 can you send CIC an inquiry about your situation? No PER after 6 weeks of being cashed is too much.

I sent inquiries to both of CIO and Buffalo VO.
