Hi guys,
I have an important question.
I have gathered all the necessary documents in the checklist, however currently I cannot provide with the documents the minimum settlement funds.
Is it possible to send my documents without the proof of settlement funds and later when they ask me provide it? I am sure I can have the settlement funds about 3 months later.
I'm afraid that they send back my documents or even worse get 550$ from my credit card and reject me.
So, anybody has any experience regarding this situation?

proof of funds is a must on your application...

on the other hand. eventho they charge your credit card, since ur application has missing docs, they will return and refund ur application...

According to the Operational Bulletin issued on 29 June 2012 ,"The current cap year for the PhD stream ends on October 31, 2012, and unless otherwise indicated in a future Ministerial Instruction, the cap will be automatically reset on November 1, 2012".
I was wondering how this will impact the applicants who have recently sent in their applications and the CC hasn't been charged yet. CIO is taking approx two months to charge the CC.

Hi, When they ask for bank statement and history of last six month, do they need the history of checking and saving account, or they also need the history of credit card as well?!
Because if they do not need the history of credit, I can transfer some cash in advance from my credit to to saving in order to increase my balance!
Pls let me know if any one has an idea!

It will not affect them unless the cap has already been reached by the time their applications reached CIC. Given the lack of updates, I believe it will happen to a few people by the next weeks. Now, they may put the stream on hold for a while until the new regulations are out, as it seems like they will request people to get their education assessed by a company or something.

The thing is when you apply on schedule 3 "economic classes" you have to list your liabilities (10 b)which means your credit card balance. If you don't include it and they ask you for a full history of all your accounts then you will be in trouble. I know it does not make it easy for most people

Which service Ontario office did you come to?
My husband and I applied FSW under Phd stream on Feb. 15, and get emailed PER on Mar. 20. Today, we went to 2 service Ontario offices and talked with 4 officers. None of them would give us the eligibility assessment form.

They said we were not providing the right document. They don't accept printed PER email. They want original mailed document from CIC. I let them reject us and give us the eligibility form. They refused to do that. They said we were not rejected. Because we did not provide correct document, they cannot register us, so they cannot reject us either. They suggested us to go home and wait until our PR application is approved.

Without the eligibility assessment form, I cannot appeal. My husband is a phd at McMaster University in Hamilton. We tried the office at Dundurn street and the office at downtown Hamilton. asbereth, tahhiir, kaziahmmed and moonbow2010, which office did you visit? And do you remember which officer processed you applications of ohip? My husband and I want to try the office where you went to.
