Applicant from PhD program after 5 Nov, 2011 connect here to get status

CIC awarded sometimes, and did not some other times. The problem is, when it got to the Visa Office part of the processing, they didn't award to anyone so far.

I messed in IELTs. I m short of 3 points only (Age 25, IELTs 12, Work 17 and Study 10 =64). Guess I have to give english test again.

Did anyone of you send application to the 47-49 Dorchester Street, Sydney, address? I used XPressPost and sent my application to that address. Canadapost website is showing my package status 'Out for delivery' since Aug 20. After repeated inquiries, all they can inform me is my package was received at the mail-room of the company.

Did anyone go through this scenario?

I have no clue whether my application would reach the right desk.

I wish CIC would have a webpage that updates applicant status, like 'received', right after they get an application package.

They have a webpage to check the status of your application.

you can enter your information and see whether CIC has received your application or not.

This was like 3 days ago. Be patient, you have many months of waiting ahead of you.

My application was received in the second week of July. They mailed it back because of a small mistake in the general form. I made the required correction and sent it back, with the sheet asking for the correction on the top of pile. Does anyone known if my application will go back to the end of the line or will be put back where it was?

It is regarded as a new application and so it goes 'back to the end of the line'. I am in the same situation. Let us wait. It s our fault that we did not comply with the instructions.

what small mistake? we initially gave the wrong visa office and they asked us to correct it.
Looks like we are the lucky one

They are probably focusing on pre-MI and Mi-1 applications right now, that is why we have not heard of Ottawa in so long.

I have the same problem. My police certificate is getting expired and I am not sure if I should send it to Ottawa. Have you heard anything about it? What are you going to do?

My Police clearance certificate is now ready 5 months after application. I'm not sure If I should send it to the visa office now, or I should wait until I hear from the visa office. By the way, In the former case, I do not know where I should send the document. Ottawa?
