By the way how much time you have to send your passport.
I am going on vacation. I am worried if they ask for passport when I am out.

Yeah, the 25hr was chosen on purpose after I read some discussion here about how a week is supposed to be 40hr and if you are a full time PhD student you are supposed to dedicate at least 15hr for that, leaving 25hr for "work".

If they knew that I actually work about 80hr/week :(

I think the reason is more towards the line of the dates not being extremely clear in the letter (and them not taking the time to read it thoroughly).

Do not waste your time. Try first to contact them through the ways I suggested. You can also ask your local MP to help you; if not worked, then appeal your case.

Uffffff. :'(.

im very sorry for your situation. when did you get MR and RPRF?

Got medical request and RPRF on SEP 11th 2014. I did medical on October 6th 2014. They received medical reports on October 8th 2014.

Just received medical check request letter! :D

Please update my timeline in the spreadsheet:

Application reached at CIO: August 21, 2014
CC encashed: November 20, 2014
PER issued: December 10, 2014
Medical check request: January 07, 2015

RA only

My application was rejected and returned to me today with an explanation that Regulation 10 of the IRPR act was not met. Namely, In the appendix they only highlighted that "you do not submit ECA report", I checked my application package again and was like "wow", it's still there, clearly visible. Application was submitted in the middle of November and I also arranged my documents according to the checklist. It's really sad that we are rejected this way because of their mistake. Anyone have any suggestion? How should we appeal for this? Thanks!

Im very sorry to hear that...

Technically, u can appeal, but, how can you prove yourself? thats all Im thinking now... If u can Ya sure... u can

Anyways.... Im really sorry to hear this... extremely unfair... cannot believe this...... It scares me to imagine myself in this situation....

Best wishes for ur future in all aspects..

Please, someone help ::)

Guys,

need a piece of advice from senior members. I submitted PCC (dated June 2014) with my application (reached CIO on 8 September 2014) . Do you think I should prepare another PCC? Will I be asked to submit PCC again? Or I am just a paranoid?

I personally know someone who had a very similar issue. It was in 2013 when she got her application returned by CIO because "you did not submit an English Language test (IELTS)". The IELTS test was indeed sent to CIO, but it was still sealed by IELTS test center. So the VO never bothered to open the IELTS envelope. That's why I never sent any document sealed when I applied this time.

Despite of that, this person emailed/faxed CIO and called CIC-call center to explain that IELTS was there but sealed in the official envelope. After two weeks CIO emailed her asking to send the application again! The issue was happily solved!
