Applicant from PhD program after 5 Nov, 2011 connect here to get status

Hi guys,

I just got back home and found my rejected application :'(. I sent it on Oct 24th and the letter of rejection is dated December 17th. I think it only got here after NYE.

The reason for rejection was: "You have not provided sufficient evidence that you have a minimum of one year of continuous full-time .... in the primary occupation in the last years.". I applied only with TA and RA experience, i.e., only NOC 4012.

I seriously cannot believe this happened, after reading all the posts here and all the effort I put into those letters trying to prevent this. I practically had to beg the Departmental secretary to make the letter following the guidelines I found here.

Anyways, is this it for me and the PhD stream? I guess there is no way I can't resubmit now. Can I somehow appeal the decision? In case anyone is interested/feeling sorry for me/experienced/ I can try sending you the two letters I submitted, one from the assistant to the program director (focusing only on TA), and one from my supervisor (TA for her and RA). I assure that both were very detailed in terms of the number of hours and the relevant NOC duties. In RA experience alone, the letter specifically quoted 20 hours/week since August 2011.

Sorry to hear that. I know some other applicants in FSW2014 who got rejected before PER and were successful to re-open their case. I will send a message to you. Check your inbox.

I'm new to this forum. I'll be really happy if somebody can help me with a serious issue. I sent my application for NOC 4012 mid Dec 2014 and they received my file before the end of the year. but unfortunately 1 week later I lost my credit card which I used for the fee payment form and I had to cancel it and ask for a new credit card...now I have the new card. Do you guys know what I can do now and how I can inform the office for this issue?
Any help would be really appreciated.

Immediately prepare a new fee payment form with a cover letter explaining your situation. Try all three ways to contact CIO: email, mail and fax. You may also use your local MP (member of parliament) to assist you for this issue. (for finding email, mail and fax you can go to FSW 2014 page and ask the seniors. There are some others here who can help you too).

Finally I got passport request email. It happened yesterday (Wednesday) night. I will send my passport next week after I come back to Canada.

I had some similar issue. I suggest that you try member of Parliament. He/She will ask you to sign some kind of representative form so he/she can contact CIC on your behalf. Prepare the new payment form before contacting the member of Parliament.

I am also an applicant of Sept and CCed on Dec 12. I got the access to ECAS before the new year's eve. Good luck.

Many congrats! Did you apply after May 2014 or before? Can you please tell us when was the local time (for Ottawa) that you received your PPR email?

Thank you, I sent my application June 02, 2014. I received the email at 5pm at Vancouver time, as I'm living in Ontario for a moment I thought that was night time but still they sent at last minute of office work

Sorry to hear that! Could you please share your letters with us (without your specification)? Then we might be able to find the reason they have done that.

Congrats x hidden x. It's a good sign that CPC-O issuing PPR post holiday season.
I guess it's time for June applicants' ppr. Within a week or two all June applicants that have finished their MR would expect PPR. ;D
